~*Amber*~ wrote:Here we are again

Name: Foxpaw
Description: just have a picture http://www.somalicat.com/foxykats/walker_8mo_3.jpg
Male
Personality: clever, aggressive, protective (to only two others) and quick thinker. (sorry those are main point though)
Other: he is light on his feet at times and others he will tackle you down, it can all depend on technique which he has much of. He is smaller than he looks due to his masses of fur.

Also what do you think it could be not using the suffixes -tail for speed or -claw for strength? Yet still be traditional

-tail is actually for agility and climbing! -foot is for speed, and -claw doesn't necessarily refer to strength, but fighting skill. If you wanted to create a different name set, it would have to be a variant on traditional or an entirely new system. I won't go into a ramble here, but if you have specific ideas let me know and I'll try to help you.

Name Suggestion: Foxclaw/Foxfoot - alternate prefixes are Russet- and Red-.
Name Reasoning: From the description, he sounds like someone who's a little powerhouse - he's able to tackle someone and presumably keep them down with some skill, but it's mentioned that he's a quick cat, which would also imply that he mainly uses speed and the element of surprise to attack someone. So, -foot is for if he's a fast cat who uses his speed to fight, and -claw is for if he's a great fighter who's someone quick on his feet.
The alternate prefixes are due to his very dark color, which is a little too dark for Fox. Fox- can work well enough, but those two reference a darker cat.

Character Rating: 9/10
Character Reasoning: From what I'm given, he seems fine. Though I'm still unsure of what it means for him to sometimes tackle someone. I imagine it refers to him being rather impatient or short-tempered, which he'll hopefully grow out of as he becomes a warrior.

Happy (late) America Day from Ireland! I come with two things...

Image/Description: Sleek, tall black tom with pale amber eyes.
Name: Ravenstar (heart).
Gender: Tom.
Clan: ThunderClan.
Rank: Leader.
Personality/Skills: He always knew he'd be important. All he ever did in his youth was train and train and train. He never ceased to work for his Clan, and that made him forget about the important stuff (family). He had a brief relationship with a den-mate, but she died in battle and he moved on quickly. After getting an apprentice, becoming deputy and leader, he decided to start a family properly. He has two kits, and sometimes is a little unfair about their skill, as in tell the world about them. That sort of embarasses his kits, though.
Important Notes: He stops being unfair in the future. I hope.

QUESTION: Can cats be twins?

A belated AMERICA to you too!

To answer your question, yes, but not in the same way as humans. It's a common thing for cats to have litters of 2-4 kittens, so you could end up with two sets of twins or even three depending on how fertile the mother is. If you mean that two can be twins and look similar, that happens quite a lot, so yes! They just wouldn't see it as "twins".

Name Rating: 10/10
Name Type: Traditional
Name Reasoning: Generally, -heart refers to someone with a very idealistic notion of right and wrong, rather than a dedication to the Clan, but in this case I think it can work out just fine. This cat's entire life is governed by doing what he thinks is the right thing, which is training to be the absolute best warrior he can be and to serve his Clan beyond what is asked for. If it's important enough to him that he forgets about personal relationships entirely, I'd say that would qualify him as a -heart.
Alternative Name: None!

Character Rating: 10/10
Character Reasoning: I wonder if there was a molly who took a shining to him when he was just a warrior, or if he mellowed out as he finally accomplished his life goal and then he attracted some attention. Either way, this cat works out perfectly - more power to his kits, by the way. Having a workaholic parent can't be easy, especially when they assume that you're the same.

Name Rating: 8/10
Name Type: Traditional
Name Reasoning: Kudos to you for using Dove- for a male. Unfortunately, it won't work on him. Dove- is for a grey brown cat, and he's a light grey tabby. His suffix fits him fine, so long as fighting is his most noteworthy skill.
Alternative Name: Lavenderclaw/Mintclaw. Both prefixes cover a light grey cat, and -claw stays as it is.

Character Rating: 7/10
Character Reasoning: I'm not sure why ambition immediately turns someone into an evil traitor. Ambition isn't evil - in fact, it's a valued trait for a possible deputy. Ambition involves hard work and determination to make it to the top, and a leader is bound to value a hard-working cat who wants to lead their Clan. Why anyone would throw all of that away for the sake of possible evil just...puzzles me.
Unless, of course, you mean that he desires power, which is different from ambition. Ambitious cats want to achieve something in their life, generally by being the best leader or medicine cat they could possibly be. They are willing to work hard and be patient, and desire to make a difference, not just lead. Cats thirsting for power aren't focused on anyone else - they can only really think of themselves and what they want (which is roughly the opposite of what an ideal Clan cat should be). Dove sounds like he wants power for power, not to make a difference.
But why?
Characters who simply want power are characters without a true motive (and as we all know, motive is one of the most important things for a character). Why would Doveclaw want any power? He's not at all connected to his Clanmates - he'd probably do very well on his own, actually, and by the sound of it doesn't have any real reason to stay. There's no reason that I can see that he'd want power for, other than the sake of an evil cat.
So here's my suggestion: Find a reason for him to want power; not just power for power, but an actual motive. He could be impatient with the system as a whole, or hate the soft rut that his Clan has fallen into, or something like that.
Perhaps make him a little less stereotypically a villain as well. It's pretty obvious that he has a high possibility to be evil, so add in some positive traits. He might be idealistic, or courageous, or leader-like, or anything, really. Just ensure that it stays in line with his core character.

Image/Description:
Image
Name:
Nightstar - Was Nightstorm
Gender:
She Cat
Clan:
Snowclan
Rank:
Leader
Personality/Skills:
Nightstar has always been a very unusual cat. As a kit and apprentice she was always on the move, always trying to get something done, always wanting to be training or acting, hating sitting around waiting. This affected her hunting skills as she often didn't have the patience to stalk and so she was delayed a moon in getting her Warrior name.
She spent a lot of her kithood and apprentiship defending her littermate. Her brother just wasn't a good clan cat, he was to shaky, to nervous, he didn't have the confidence to do what needed to be done and the other apprentices mocked that. Nightpaw, at the time, was always the first to stand up for him, unfortunately late into her apprenticeship he vanished and was never found. His disappearance led to her calming down a little, she was always, and would always be outspoken, but she changed in an unusual way. Her hunting skills were notable as they became acceptable rather than terrible.
Since becoming a warrior and leader she still seems to have the boundless energy of her kithood and will always make her opinions clear but she also listens to her warriors. When not driving them mad with her constant desire to patrol.
Important Notes:
She is always there for a cat in need, she often sneaks sad apprentices onto patrols with her to do what she can to make things better. She suspects her brother left for a different life and wants to try and avoid that with the cats in her care. She doesn't want to feel as though she failed again.
Having serious issues viewing dark colours at the moment. May delay replys to pms. Sorry.

The Leopard Pups
Grey, Black and White. The world revolves and we go with it. Twisting in this everlasting monotony, eyes of green and gold, watching and waiting for our chance, our time. Cytor, Liliana, Serenade, Bayonet, the Prankster, the sweet one, the mother and the lost soul. There birth was a lost event, one in a million, two wandering souls met in the shadows, and these four were created. There pups are the stuff of legend, one lost there sight, one lost there path, one lost there love and the other? The other lost his family, everyone they cared about. He lost his family.

Here's a few for ya:

Name: Cedarpaw (I was thinking -fang but if you have a different suggestion, I'd be glad to hear it)
Description: gray tom with faint tabby markings and golden eyes
Important Notes: A slightly impulsive young cat who struggles to be the best cat he can be. He is strong and agile and exceptional in battle-training(since he's never really been in a real battle).

Name: Shrikefang
Description: broad-shouldered dark gray and white tom with golden eyes
Important Notes: A fair and kind cat who is always going to hear both sides of a story. He is extremely loyal to his clan and all the cats in it and has proved himself in battle many times.

Name: Graystar(scar)
Description: battle-scarred gray tom with yellow eyes
Important Notes: He's a gruff, but usually kind, cat who is a natural leader. As a younger warrior, he was very proud that he was named for his battle scars, because he believed they made him stronger.

Name: Blackstorm
Description: tall black tom with a white tail tip and yellow eyes
Important Notes: A typically laid-back tom, he has many friends. But they can all tell you that he is utterly unpredictable.

Name: Larchstream
Description: golden-brown tom with a white underbelly and paws and amber eyes
Important Notes: Medicine cat. He cares about all of his clanmates like family, so he's perfectly content that he cannot have a mate or kits of his own. He's a kind and clever tom who sometimes loves nothing more than a swim in the lake.

Name: Burnetpaw(tail)
Description: dark ginger tabby she-cat with white paws and orange eyes
Important Notes: An ambitious she-cat, she aspires to be the best warrior she can be so that one day she may become deputy. She has exceptional balance and is a great tree-climber, although most cats in her clan prefer to swim.

What fur color would the prefix Moss give? :3 I'm thinking like a mixture of shades of browns
