Do you really collect pets because of their rarity? o.O

I know I don't. I collect pets because I like how they look and I'm a collector, getting that complete collection is awesome no matter what the rarity of the pets are.
That's the point of collecting pets. To get the pets you like, whether that's a few dreampets or the entire archive is up to you.

Rarity should only act as a guide when trading, it's just one of the many factors that will give you an idea of the value of the pets you're trading. But it shouldn't be the reason why you collect pets.. If you ask me.

A bunch of those Slumber Party pets went from rare to uncommon. It irrupted me a little because I had a bulk of trade fodder go uncommon.
But I guess I just have to hold them till their rarity goes back up.
This sudden drop still confuses me. I don't understand it...

the 2013 halloween ponies were (i thought) uncommon, they are now common
