::Ericson Jonathon Lee Jackson: 16 :: Single :: Powerless :: Coffee Shop Jamestown ::
Eric glanced a the watch on his wrist. He had been sitting here for about an hour. He wondered if his father may have started searching for him. He tried not to think of home. For the moment, he didn't live there. Just for this moment, he was just another townsfolk. Now, thinking about it, he realized he hadn't had a conversation with any stranger last as long as it has now. Realizing there was a silence, he asked, "So how long have you guys known each other?"

::Rose Jane Tyler:: 16 :: Complicated :: Mesmer :: Rebel Camp ::
"Wait, I think I may have been thinking of a rabbit's foot..." she mumbled. She retied the tree branch closer to the ground and knotted the rope so when something was to step into it, it would snap. She looked up at Murphy. "I have a few more. I don't know if they have anything caught yet but it couldn't hurt to check. I've also got a net set up over in the creek."

~ Sorry I was trying to type that really quick. Amy wants me to go clean up across the street. This may take a while. BRB

Ivory was silent when he finally dropped her hand. In fact, she was a little worried about being around the boy. People would be after him. Is that really what he had said? She wondered if maybe she had heard him wrong. She had a feeling she didn't though. "I'm looking for..." She wasn't sure she could explain why she was looking for it, but hopefully he wouldn't ask. "Well, I need to find some information about my family." That's normal for people to do, right? What did they call it? "I'm interested in..." She paused trying to find the word. "Genealogy. Yeah, the genealogy of my family." She smiled, hoping it would distract him from thinking she was strange.

Quinn Leon l 18 l Necromancer l Jamestown

    "Two hours? Three?" Quinn said, glancing at Christopher, unsure of the exact time. As she answered, she noticed a strang look on the boy's face, one she couldn't regonize. She wasn't an empath, that much was clear. It seemed sort of wistful to her, but she didn't trust her interpretations enough to make decisions based on them. He seemed trustworthy, at the very least.

Chris was still looking at his cased instrument when he let out a laugh. A few hours was all it took for someone to -try- take you in. He looked up to notice Quinn staring at him, she recognized what was on her face; she was searching him, the way he did many times to see how people felt. He smiled at her before turning his head to Eric. "Yupp, a good two or three hours."

Clary looked up at the boy, having gathered all her supplies besides the one's he held out to her now. She took them gratefully, placing them in the spine of her sketchpad so hopefully they wouldn't roll so far away next time she decided to be a clutz. It was nothing unusual for her anyway, even without the boy ramming into her she probably would have tripped herself with the cold air currents in the halls. "Uh, hi," she said quietly to the cat. She didn't quite understand why this guy was explaining all this stuff to her, but she assumed this was how normal conversations went, so she just nodded. "Oh, thank-you," she paused as she ducked her head to hide the warmth in her cheeks. Normally, she didn't show others her work, nor did she ever receive praise when she did, so she was a little embarrassed. "Thanks, and thanks for helping me..pick up my stuff." With forced effort, she stood up, careful not to drop any of her stuff and balancing it all in one arm, she reached out the other in a hand-shake. "I'm Clarissa, by the way."

Eric tilt his head and raises one eyebrow in amazement. "Wow," he says, "You guys seem like you have known each other for a long time." He fell quiet, unsure of what else he should say to them to carry on the conversation. He smiled to keep himself from making an ugly staring face.

Chris gave a slow nod. It was a bit strange, wasn't it? Though he actually didn't know all that much about Quinn, it must seem like he did and vice versa. "Well, what about you? Don't you have any friends? Why are you here alone?" He fired each question right after the other. This kid wasn't exactly...Well he wasn't Chris. He wasn't poor, and he definitely didn't seem like he was from around here.

"Oh," he said a little taken by surprise. He rubbed his upper arms awkwardly. "Well, I don't really get out much. My friends also work all the time..." He pauses trying to come up with the words to say. "I guess I just wanted some nice quiet time and a quiet breakfast." It was a simple and vague answer.

He tried to think of any friends he might actually have. When he was younger, he had a nanny. Did that count? No, he didn't think so. One of his fondest memories was the time when he played ball with a girl around his age when he was six. His father sent her away just when they began to get to know each other. He told him it was because her mother was committing tyrany against him. He never saw the girl or her mother again.

Now, he only really talked to the cook and the butler. But they hardly counted as friends, he assumed. They were very nice but that was as far as their relationships went.

The thought of more traps made Murph smile yet again. The day started with a wonderful meal and would hopefully end with another great meal of fish and squirrel. "Aye, the rabbit foot is the lucky one I believe. The squirrel tail will make a great accessory." With another smile he looked past RJ to the woods. It was quiet and peaceful. "Lets go check those traps and nets. Lead the way."

Quinn Leon l 18 l Necromancer l Jamestown

    "What about your parents? Do you have any siblings?" Quinn asked, picking up his newspaper and flipping through it. Something about this kid seemed like he was perpetually anxious, and she really wanted to find out why. It was already late afternoon, and Quinn wanted to get back to the caravan by dusk, it was best not to hang out in any town after dark.

"Well," he began, "I never really met my mother. She left when I was really young. I live with my father. He has a really stressful and time consuming job, so I try not to be in his way. Sometimes he works from home so on days like these, I like to leave the house. I do have one sister." He smiled at her. "How about you?" He tried to relax a little.

::Rose Jane Tyler:: 16 :: Complicated :: Mesmer :: Rebel Camp ::
"Hmm," she mumbled, "I never was really good at learning superstitions." She smiled at the boy. "Yes, let's go see these traps." She began to lead the way. The path to the traps was easy to find. She followed a thin, deer path she shared with the woodland cultures. "We'll check the creek first. I have two nets there. One is for fish, another is for the crawdads. I don't usually catch very many of those, but sometimes I'm lucky."

The woods break and just a few feet ahead is the creek. You can see thin rope and twines tied to twigs. They hold the nets that wait in the water. "Okay, here we are."
