How lucky he was! Only moments after defeating his brother and stealing his herd, a lone mare of his age appears. A pretty one at that. As he finally stopped in front of the mare, the stud stood tall and proud, eyeing her and examining her. Despite her smaller size, she would make a great addition to the herd, and perhaps even become the new lead. Considering she was older than those untrustworthy hacks he'd nabbed. Viking needed someone he could trust, someone who would be his second in command when it came to keeping the mares together. And well, she seemed like a potential candidate. So the stallion arched his neck in a more regal manner, and reached out his muzzle to exchange greetings with the roan. "Greetings. The name is Viking." He introduced himself, before glancing back to his small band. The mares had, thankfully, stopped, but were obviously still infuriated with him. Oh well. They'd get over it. Then he turned his attention back to the bay roan, his face practically expressionless. Viking wanted to cut to the chase and tell her she was joining him. Yes, tell, not ask. He was no gentleman nor would he ever be one.

The last thing he'd seen was his frightened mares, and large hooves baring down on him. He remembered how scared his dearest Moon was, and how broken his beloved Allayo seemed. Even Doe seemed shocked and perhaps even disappointed, but none of that mattered now. He'd heard their words, heard how awful his brother was treating them. His ladies were so reluctant to leave him, but they were gone. It was all a nightmare. And the stallion was just now coming to, his head spinning, body aching. Perhaps it had all been a bad dream? Oh he hoped. Gator slowly raised his head, although his vision was blurred and out of focus. His ears were ringing, and his whole body seemed to be screaming out in pain. But he fought through it, blinking a few times and taking some deep breaths. The ringing in his ears lessened, and his eyesight was more in focus now, though it was still fuzzy. He glanced around his surroundings, finding himself completely alone. "Allayo?" Gator called, voice breaking as he asked her name. "Moon? D-Doe?" And the stallion felt his heart shatter. They were gone. And he was alone yet again. Silence was the only thing that surrounded him now. If horses could cry, he'd be bawling right now. His beloved mares were gone. The beautiful and clever lead, Allayo, the first and possibly last mare to ever carry his child. The shy and kind-hearted chocolate mare, Moon, perhaps the one mare he'd never forgive himself for hurting. And even Doe, the sassy and fiery chestnut Appaloosa he'd always argue with, but still loved regardless. He loved all of his mares, and now they were gone. Forever. And it was his fault for not being able to save them. The stallion sighed, now glancing around at all of the blood on the ground, presumably mostly his, considering how torn up he was. But he needed to get moving before any predators found him. So he forced himself to his feet, despite the agonizing pain and the weakness he felt throughout his body. And now, Gladiator stood tall, but alone, and hung his head in shame as he began to venture to the watering hole, where he would hopefully find bachelor herds to team up with until he healed.

Since she was protecting Flicker now, she was on the alert, making sure none of these pesky bachelors came too close. Her gaze landed on a pair of two younger ones, Nurse and Punk, eyeing the small band curiously. And the palomino sabino mare snorted, giving a stamp of her hoof. "Go find someone else to gawk at, you pervs." Vega shouted at the two, clearly displeased with their presence. She glanced over to Flicker, who was now beginning a descent to see Titan. The older mare shook her head, before following close behind. Her ears were pinned as she glared at all of the bachelors, warning them to back off. She may be a mare, but she was older, and definitely unwilling to cooperate with such young studs. Vega could put them in their places if they dared tried anything on her and Flicker. But soon they were at Titan's side yet again, and she snorted. She didn't like this. Titan was already a target considering his age, and now he had two mares beside him, with many bachelors pretty much surrounding him.

The two mares stuck close to each other, never once moving from the others' side. They were both about the same height, one only slightly taller than the other. And both bore the same exact markings, minus the fact one had a stripe down her face while the other had a star on her forehead. Otherwise, the two looked exactly alike. They were twins, twin Pintabians at that. A very rare sight to see, and a beautiful one too, The mares practically moved in sync as they trotted along, both constantly on the lookout for any predators or fellow horses. Finally, the nicer of the two piped up, and for the first time this valley would hear their voices."Do you think we're close?" Silence. The mare flattened her ears as her twin continued to ignore her and move along."Excuse me, earth to Insanity. I asked you a question. Can you hear me?" And the other mare, the one with the stripe down her face, snorted, before glaring to her slightly shorter twin. "Yes pea-brain I can hear you. And you know what?" Now the larger of the two stopped, her ears pinned and glare focused on his sister, who seemed rather confused."What?" She asked, eyes wide as her sister now got close in her face."I don't want to hear you. I've been listening to you whine and complain since we got here. All I want is some peace and quiet. So shut your mouth, Lunatic." The mare snapped, before giving her sister a rough nip and continuing on again. Lunatic cried out in pain, and reluctantly began to follow her twin, Insanity. Ooh boy. Won't meeting these two ladies be fun?

For now, the mouse gray Quarab mare stood alone, a good distance away from all of the action. Her muzzle was to the ground, pulling up blades of vegetation as she grazed, her scented tail flicking every now and again. The mare was content to say the least. She raised her head as she heard bellows and angered screams emerging from the chaos of the massive herd in the center of the valley, and she glanced over the scene unfolding. Multiple stallions, many mares. Oh blood would be spilling soon. Or at least, the mare would assume so. And she sighed, before returning to her grazing. It seemed all of these stallions were interested in band mares, not pretty little loners like her. And it was upsetting, really. Was she not good enough? What with her dark gray coat, slim bodice, and that lovely dished face with the most captivating brown eyes you've ever seen...? Pandora had always thought herself as pretty, nay, she had always known she was pretty. Heck, she was beautiful! Gorgeous, even. But for some reason, none of these studs had taken an interest in her. Why would that be?
{{ Open characters -3- My twins will be a hassle XD Believe me. And Pandora is just a conniving little flirt. You've been warned. Oh, and Gator is now open for any mares or bachelors who want to take pity on him ;-; }}
