Milla took the water, smiling a bit at the boy. "Thank you." She said, a bit louder, but not loud enough for everyone to hear. She stared at the boy for a moment before shaking her head. "Oh, you wanted my name." Milla took a breath of courage before saying her name. This was her identity ;; how everyone knew her. it was.. scary. "I'm .. Milla. Milla Case. Now do you understand?" Milla watched him, for any reaction. She was expecting the worse.

Milla didn't wait for a response. He had to keep the secret.. he just had to. Milla trusted him, but now, wasn't so sure since he knew who she was. The girl turned around, her cloak flying. She had to leave now, before he tried to pry more information from her. Milla drank a sip of the water and hurried out, the bell dinging behind her.

Now what? What if the boy did reveal it? Milla was frightened for herself. She didn't know where to turn, if it did happen that the boy did reveal who she was. She would have to run away, because the townspeople would cast her away again and hurt her. They had just finally stopped doing it, and Milla wouldn't be able to stand it. She shook those thoughts away, trying not to think about it.

Henry tried to place the name with the face. The name sounded so familiar, and he knew something would click eventually. Of course, he didn't even have time to think it over too much. He didn't even get to introduce himself in turn. She was out the door before he could blink. The water was left behind without a trace. Well great. He had to go after her; he would go after her. It was inevitable.

Heading to the back, he placed his things in the appropriate slots and told the boss he was taking his break now. Sure, it was still quite early to be taking a break, but he needed to know this girl. It was just so weird. He had never been more persistent before. The name just couldn't see to click, still. Was she in hiding? Had she done something illegal? No, that couldn't be it. It was all mind boggling.

Trailing around the building, he looked around for this mysterious girl. The name finally clicked in his head. She was what everyone called the mute. He had never actually known her name, nor her face. He just heard a lot about her, because she never talked. Yet, she could talk. She spoke to him. What was so bad about speaking? It was odd. He finally saw her by chance. In his book, everything was by chance. He couldn't choose to speak with her again, because if chance didn't want him to, he would never see her again. "Hey, hold on," he whispered as he caught up to her. He was beginning to think he was insane.

Milla's ears perked, hearing a boy's voice. She didn't dare look behind her. Instead, she just stopped running. "And what do you need now?" she asked, dropping her head. she no longer needed to talk to him, so why would he want to now? Milla rested her hand on her right hip, waiting for a response from the waiter. It was slightly confusing.. and scary to her.


"Who are you.. are you going to report me to the authorities?" Milla demanded quietly, turning around. She glared in his direction, crossing her arms over her chest. Milla was alot more afraid than she seemed at the moment, but she had to find out what he wanted from her, just in case. The girl dropped her arms, giving an exasperated sigh. "Never mind. Good bye."

Milla continued down the sidewalk until she got to her hotel, and stepping in. She glanced behind her, making sure the mysterious boy didn't follow. She just didn't see what was so important about him keeping a secret about her. Her secret was dangerous.. no one else could know. that she spoke.

Henry opened his mouth to reply. He had to know so many things; he had so many questions, but not enough time to ask them. He never had time to answer her question either; she was gone before he had uttered a word. With an exasperating sigh, he turned and walked back to the diner. He just wasted his break for nothing.

No answers were answered. If anything, he just had more questions. She left him wondering why? If she couldn't answer anything for him, why must he keep her secret? It would have been an even trade if she had given him time to find answers. He should have known that wasn't going to happen. She probably thought he was some creepy stalker, yet she had been the one to come to his diner to warn him about something he had never been tempted to do until she warned him.

Henry finished off his work day and headed out soon after. His mind was still equivalent to a bowl of soup. He wanted answers that he may never receive. He shook his head and glanced at the time. There was not a chance that she would appear up again. He doubted she would ever want to see him again, considering he had something against her.

Milla felt bad for leaving the poor boy in the streets with questions unanswered. She reluctantly stepped out of the large building, forcing her head down on the way. She eventually found the place she had found him before, but the boy wasn't there. Milla couldn't risk going back to the restaurant again, though it was closing. Milla would just wait there, and hopefully, the boy would understand.

She leaned against the wall, pulling her hood farther down on her head. Several people brushed past her, and some even pushed her down. Milla struggled to stay hidden, but it was hard to in a busy city. She glanced around for the boy once more, seeing him in the small diner across from her. Maybe he would see her.

Milla knew that it would only be a matter of time before the boy released her secret to the city. And then she would go into hiding again. She didn't understand why the town hated a mute;; they never talked. The girl shook her head, glancing into the diner, at the clock. It was getting late, and Milla would have to leave soon. And then the boy wouldn't get any of his questions answered.

Henry left the diner soon after and glanced around. His eyes almost skimmed right over her, but he did a double take. There she was. The mysterious girl who had left him with all these questions. He wanted the answers more than ever. He wanted to know why so many things had happened. Why she would leave before he could utter many words. She would speak a moment or two then leave as if he were contaminated or something.

He walked over hesitantly. He expected her to scurry off as soon as he approached her. Stopping in front of her, he smiled lightly and asked, "So, are you planning on answering my questions? Or are you going to just run off again?" He blinked his eyes and sighed softly. She hadn't left yet, so that must have meant something.

The only answers he had was that she could talk, but he didn't understand why she wanted to keep this a secret. He knew her name, but in most circumstances, this wasn't going to answer much. He wanted some more answers. He was greedy, but he needed to just know the one question that would sum it all up. Why?

Milla saw the boy approach her, and at his question, she simply shook her head. "No, of course not. My sympathy for you go to me." She shrugged, as if it wasn't a big deal. "I'll answer your questions. Under one condition of course." Milla looked around, to make sure no one saw her talking. "You keep this a secret." She raised her eyebrows in the boys direction, expecting him to reject the offer,

She would answer the questions, that was true. She did not yet know why he wanted to know so much about her after a simple hello and goodbye, Milla thought it would be enough. apparently not. Milla zoned back in, only hoping that she had not missed anything he had asked her. "You're Henry, correct?" Milla asked him, thinking that was his name.

Milla realized it was getting fairly dark, and that meant she would have to go soon. "Look.. I will have to go soon. Please hurry up those questions, otherwise you're out of luck." She explained quietly, keeping her head faced towards the ground. There was no point in letting him see her face. All he wanted was information.. right?

Henry glanced at the time and realized how late it was getting. He had so many question, and little time to receive his answers. "I will promise to keep it a secret, when you answer the questions. If you run off again before I receive any answers, I will owe you nothing in return," he replied simply. It was a fair exchange in his opinion. If he had to keep this a secret, he at least deserved to know why.

He was about to ask his first question, when she beat him to it. "I thought I was asking the questions here," he muttered, becoming frustrated. He paced the sidewalk and closed his eyes to regain composure. "Yes, I am Henry. Since you know my name, introductions are unnecessary," he added with a long sigh.

"First question, how do you know my name? Second question, why am I supposed to keep this dark secret. Third, why did you even talk to me if you didn't want people to know?" he named off, turning to look at her. They were the first questions that came to mind. He had so many more, but he should get the important ones out of the way before she disappeared. She always seemed to disappear and leave him more curious than before.

Milla stayed silent listening to Henry's questions. He wanted to know everything she couldn't tell him! She didn't know how to respond to them without lying. "Look.. I talked to you because you started the conversation. You were the one who wanted me to talk, and now I am... I should thank you for that, I suppose. Now, the answer to your second question..."

This was tough. How could she answer this? Maybe if she told him... she didn't entirely trust him, but Milla was willing to risk it anyways. "I want you to keep this a secret because ... if anyone knew about this, it would send me into hiding again, instead of the normal torture. And lastly, because once again, you started this conversation. Plus, my sympathy won me over." She said simply, her voice growing frustrated,

"Now.. i must leave. You keep your promise, I answered your questions. Don't go back on your deal." Milla lfted her head, her glare cold. She looked a lot meaner than she actually was... truthfully, Milla was dying inside. There was no guarantee the boy would keep his side of the deal.

Henry listened to her answers, but honestly it resulted into more questions that before. He didn't understand why she must hide. Why had she been in hiding before? He pressed his hands against his head and closed his eyes. Too many unanswered questions swam around his head. Curiosity wasn't really on his side.

"You haven't answered anything," he whispered, shaking his head. Her answers left him spiraling into oblivion. He couldn't request more could he? She even said she had to depart. But, he needed more. He needed to know. It was a necessity. He glanced at the time on his watch. He had to leave soon as well. He needed to sleep; it was getting late.

Henry was tempted to not keep his side of this deal. He had so many more questions, but she seemed opposed to answer anymore. He chewed on his bottom lip nervously. Better judgment won him over; he turned to head to his car. "I am not keeping any promises," he finally muttered as he threw his car door open. That day had been the weirdest he had ever experienced. It all started with one mysterious girl that continued to show up, but she always seemed to disappear. Each time she did, he had more questions than the time before.
