"Nice name." He commented, nodding his head, "I'm Liam Veselko." He scratched his chin and laughed softly as she looked around. He felt the slightly wave of self consciousness and looked around him self. From the dirt covered floor to the seats stained from who-knows-what, to the odd trinkets strewn around randomly. A colorful fishing-bobber on the dash, multiple carabiners of all shapes, sizes and colors from rock climbing, the actual climbing gear in the back seat, and ever a small stuffed bear under the back seat, given to him from a child who's parents were being terrorized by a spirit who had been beaten to death a few years back on their stretch of road. It was simple hunt, just find the bones and burn 'em, but the kid wanted to show his appreciation- the spirit, of Sean Jarks, had been staying in the boy's room half the time, so it was a great relief to the kid to not have a ghost watching him sleep at night. It was a ratty old thing, missing an eye, fur faded- but Liam didn't mind. It was a little messy, but it wasn't hard on the eye. It just looked.. homey, used, well loved inside. He brought his attention back as he caught her speaking again and looked up at her to answer. "Nah, I'm a freelance photographer, I travel around. Mostly the Western U.S., though I can say I've been to Iceland once." He flashed his teeth in a grin, and drummed his fingers on the steering wheel. "Sorry 'bout the mess, I tried to clean a bit- Practically live in this car, that and motels." I should really try and keep it a little more decent in here- at least the worst of the mess is in the back, not visible. But I guess I don't always have the time, since I'm hunting a lot. He glanced down once more at the bottle and swallowed, testing his throat, and shrugged off the nagging thought that he should probably drink more. I have a little while, shouldn't take to long to get her back on her feet. "Where to? You from around here either?" He asked, countering her previous question.

"Veselko.. Croatian or Serbian origin?" Natalie asked curiously, tilting her head in inquisition. She recognized the surname, remembering someone with it when she had worked as a nurse during World War II for a short stint in her long life. Natalie then realized that her question might have been a bit odd and slunk into her seat a bit, giving an apologetic smile for her peculiar quirk of knowing last names.
The vampire then heard his answer to her question and nodded her head in interest. "Photographer, eh? That's pretty cool." she smirked before her smile widened into a grin. "Psh, Iceland is okay, but New Zealand is where it's at." She shrugged at his apology, not minding the mess at all. She felt it gave the old car character.
Natalie then awkwardly rubbed her neck, "No, uh, not exactly.. I kind of lost my job awhile back and I came here to stay with a friend until I could get a new one but, that didn't exactly go as planned... We kinda got into it last night, which is why I'm uh, here right now." She paused momentarily to add emphasis to her woeful tale. "As for where I'm going.. I just want to get out of here, anywhere else is fine."

His eyebrows furrowing, a confused and rather awed laugh slipped though his grin. "Serbian." He shook his head, "Very good." He looked her over. That must have been a really good guess. He swallowed, feeling a slight twinge from the burn lower in his throat, but for the most part the holy water had been completely washed away, therefore soothing his raw throat quite a bit. He glanced from his lap, noting the stain, and hoped the smear either went unnoticed, or that it didn't worry her. "Really,? Never been there, but I've heard a lot about it. I- sorry to hear about your job. But you seem smart, the kind of been-there, done-that kind of person. You'll get one fast, they'll be begging for you." He chuckled and turned his head over his shoulder, and pulled out, letting the car slide at a slow speed in the road, for no one was there to make him rush. I've never liked driving fast. It's nice to have times like these, where I can go as slow as I want. Gosh, well, where should I take her? "My uh, my last photo shoot for the man who hired me- nice man, had me for a big banquet that went on, something about new outcropping of their businesses being started here- I didn't pay much attention to the subject," He laughed sheepishly, "Just took a lot of photos, and made sure to have my man in at least half, and his wife in the other half." He winked and drummed his fingers on the wheel again. "Anyways, my job already ended here, I've just been moseying around. So, you name it, I- I got nothing better to do." He shrugged and made a matter-of-fact sort of face toward the road, glancing at her every so often. And I checked up on the news already, nothing really caught my eyes- well, except for the stars raining down last night. I guess that's actually something I should be looking into very very soon. I'll drop her off where she wants to go, and then I'll take a swing online, see if anything connects. Man, I almost forgot about the sky falling- didn't think that was possible. "Hey, so, tangent, but, uh, did you happen to see the sky last night?" His smile faded and he turned to look at her curiously, stopping at the street corner at a stop sign, and letting the car linger there.

"Yeah, I'm kind of a history--" Natalie blanked for a moment, her brain completely forgetting the English word that sat on the tip of her tongue. "Damn.." she muttered with a smirk, not knowing how she could have forgotten such a simple noun. "Geez, it's schwachkorb." She knew the German word, now she just needed to translate it. "Oh, duh.. geek." She smirked apologetically once more, running her fingers through her messy hair. Natalie then blinked at the man, hearing his encouraging words. "Heh, I can only hope so." she said nonchalantly as her brain depicted a more morbid scene in her head than what Liam was probably thinking.
As he continued to talk, something about his work, Natalie winced slightly at the sun's rays, feeling them cause the skin on her face and mostly bare legs to tingle uncomfortably. She tried to shift into a position where there were mostly shadows covering her, but that was easier said than done. The woman eventually had to just settle and get over the growing burning sensation on her skin. It kind of felt like being pinched by a bunch of people at once. The pain wasn't unbearable but she would much rather do without it.
Hearing Liam finish his story and begin to focus on her for comments and answers, Natalie began paying attention once more. "Yeah, I don't really either, I've got no where else to go." She furrowed her brows at him as he asked about the sky. "No, I uh, was a little busy last night.. Why? Something happen?" Natalie asked as she idly stuck her nails into her palms, trying to divert her brain's attention from her aching skin to the new source of pain.

Watching Natalie's body language, Liam nodded his head. "Yeah- looked like stars where falling to the earth, huge glowing things, plummeting from the sky. None hit the ground near here, the closest was a few towns over, from what I could see." He chuckled sheepishly, "I could see a lot though- sat on top of the old apartment building we were parked across from." He sighed and shift the car forward again, meandering a bit faster as another car happened to pull out behind him. He watched her wriggle a bit, and his grin faded to a look of un-hidden concern fading across his countenance as his eyebrows furrowed downward. "You alright?" He asked, glancing from the road to her, but only for a second. He never liked not looking at the road while he was driving- seen too many accidents caused by distractions. He frowned. "It really was incredible, though. Huge things, about the size of a man, I think." Dang. I was hoping she might have had some helpful insight. Guess I'm on my own. Though I'm sure others saw it- maybe some saw more than others. Or maybe someone even found one of the things, one that hit the ground. His nerves buzzed with excitement at the thought- It definitely looked like something along the lines of what I deal with- I just hope to goodness it was a crazy meteor shower or something, not something worse. "German, 'eh?" He chirped quickly, hardly noticing the switch when it happened- he was used to reading Latin, and a mix of the many languages he know bits and pieces of- like french, a little Japanese, a little Hawaiian- and a few others that he didn't know as much of. Pulling himself back from the bowels of his mind, he looked over the street signs around them on the road, deciding making a right turn onto Hollen Ave. would be alright, considering that it didn't matter when he went, since they didn't have a destination.

"Huh, that's pretty weird but cool too." Natalie mused before hearing his question. "Oh, yeah, sorry. I've just got really sensitive eyes, they're kind of a pain." she falsely confessed as she cupped her hand above her eyes, trying to make her story a bit more convincing. The vampire was glad that they were having such a good, active conversation. It kept her mind off of her stomach and the growing dry-feeling in the back of her throat. She mentally cursed at how the hunger pangs were already returning so soon. She supposed that was her own fault. If Natalie hadn't starved herself of blood for so long, almost an entire two weeks, she probably wouldn't be so thirsty now; but she wanted to try and see how long she could go before she broke. It seemed that eleven days was her limit- any longer than that and she'd loose herself to instinct. She wasn't even sure how she went for so long in the first place, already the thirst was becoming horribly nagging. Though that could be because of her direct sunlight exposure and her body's natural ability to heal itself. It was trying to repair the dying skin cells as soon as they were burned, and that was using up a lot of energy and strength to do. Last time she was able to at least get a reprieve from the sunshine by hiding out in dimly lit bars and dark alleyways.
"Really? That big? Damn, who p****ed off God?" Natalie snickered before raising her eyebrow in acknowledgement. "Oh, you guessed right." she grinned. "A lot of people think it's Russian, don't know where they'd get that idea though."

His grin spreading across his mouth once more, Liam nodded his head. "I don't care who did it, but I'd like to know what they did." He muttered rolling eyes. Pausing, he tore into his mind, creating a sentences the best he could, and hoped his knowledge could hold out enough to translate it correctly. "Russkiy yavlyayetsya nemnogo boleye gladkim." He barked, his voice gruff.(Russian is a little smoother) He winked at her, then pulled his eyes back on the road "Wow, haven't used Russian in way too long." He grimaced sheepishly and spoke up again, not waiting, nor really looking for a reply to his sly remark. "Sorry 'bout your eyes, that's gotta suck. I'd offer sun glasses, but I hate those things, so I don't have any with me." He muttered sticking out his lower lip in a pout then straightening his face. Something's off about her, and I shouldn't just keep ignoring my gut- sometimes it's right. Though.. sometimes I think it's the demon's gut that's trying to tell me something. I guess telling the two apart will just take some more time. Hopefully I get out of this situation before I get used to it anymore.
She's a little flighty, but she's got street smarts, she seems like she can handle herself. The sun bothers her, which is odd- more woman like the sun, they think looking tan will make them better or something. She's probably just used to the North or something, less intense sun up in northern Canada and Alaska. Highly unlikely that it's anything more than what she says.
He dismissed his suspicions, submitting to his normal attitude of 'innocent until proven guilty'. Works for lawyers, most of the time. Taking his left hand delicately off the wheel, he brought it his right forearm, squeezing the wrap to make sure it was still tightly preventing bacteria from entering, and to check is the wound itself still hurt. Just a dull ache, caused from him pressing his flesh against the iron secured inside his arms.

Natalie's eyes lit up when she heard Liam utter a sentence in Russian, impressed that he could do such a thing. Most Americans she met could barely ask where the bathroom was in Spanish. She had found them to usually be pretty prude on learning any other type of language, except for the rare few, like this one, who seemed to have a decent understanding of several.
"Oh, it's fine. Don't worry about it; I'm sure I'll adjust." Natalie replied, waving away his concern. She gently pinched the inside of her lip between her teeth, feeling the intensity of the sun's beams pricking into her skin and agitating it. The pain was a continuous one, gradually nagging her nerves and frantically making her want to claw at her skin to get rid of.
Again the woman stuck her nails into her palm, enough so that it drew tiny beads of blood. The scent immediately hit her nostrils and she quickly ceased the action, not wanting to draw any attention to her quiet anxiety. Natalie didn't want him thinking she was crazy and kick her out, but.. if worst came to worst then she could always dispose of him and just steal his car. She didn't want to do that though, this kid seemed pretty nice and she'd probably feel bad later for having to get rid of him.
'Softy,' her mind quietly whispered to her, picking fun at her for worrying over some little human. It wasn't like she hadn't killed people before- good people. 'You'd quickly forget him and stop feeling bad after two days.' She heard her brain reason. It was pretty true too. She was old enough that she had watched people grow old and die before her. She'd been around long enough to see plenty of people die by her hand, this would be nothing new to her.. Still..
Natalie noticed Liam's action but made no comment on it, if she didn't ask about his quirks then maybe he would refrain from asking about hers. "So, uh.. photographer? That's got to be a pretty awesome job. I tried it for a bit, but I was really bad at it." Again her brain depicted an especially dark time in her life as a vampire, causing a light shudder to travel up her spine.

Like.. where is Cas and Nuriel and those guys are- I was gonna meet up with them, at least drive past them, but I don't know where they are, and I prefer to know like.. towns and stuff xD Where did the other people, the other RPers, go anyways? XD They disappeared D: The angels killed them out of culture shock and fear Dx))

"All it really takes is patience, and timing. Right place, right time, right lighting." He nodded his head and glanced at her, grinning with raised eyebrows. He laughed lightheartedly and shook his head. "How about this. I'll head up North a ways, a two hour drive will bring you to a small town, it's practically swimming in the middle of a thick forest. Drove through on my way down here, and I swear it was like someone dimmed the lights down- I was waiting for romantic music and candles. The trees block out the sun pretty well, though there aren't as many trees near the center of things, but it'll keep you out of the sun while you're getting back on you feet." He leaned forward and glanced up at the sky. What could have been falling last night? Nothing I have ran into, or even heard of before- what the heck is going on? He sighed, his grin softening into a content smile. Glancing over his shoulder, he turned onto the highway, reluctantly speeding up to keep up with the other motorists. He never cared for highways, but he always ended up on them, for it made traveling from place to place infinitely faster.

His eyes slipped automatically down to his dash, and he grimaced. "Ah." He muttered pursing his lips, "need gas first." He laughed sheepishly. "Shoot." He shook his head and turned on his clicker, heading back to the exit to round back to the nearest gas station. Whoops. Probably should have checked that first off. Poor planning on my part. Just having trouble focusing- the sky did fall last night, so I guess I can't really be blamed for being a bit out of it. If flaming things fell, where did they come from? I mean, what's even up there- it's not like imps were up there lighting clouds on fire. I mean, the only thing up there is sky. And heaven I guess. His mind clicked, and his knuckles stiffened on the wheel. Maybe this really was caused by God being angry, or something. I mean, the big guy can do anything- not like it'd be hard for him to make it rain fire. What, did he do spring cleaning, kick out the angels who weren't good enough? Would explain why they were human sized. Whatever happened, I have a feeling it's going to be a pain to fix.

[[ I am still around and willing to do this one. I have been on vacation and still am for a few days. But I don't believe anyone else replied that was with Nuriel. Nuriel was with Cas, a reaper, and a hunter. Not sure what everyone else is doing/their interest is though. ]]
