I am 99% sure it's impossible, until Howrse introduces extra clicks in HOPs or whatever it is they do these days. It's always been like this. Every promo (except the lottery really, as that's random, though of course it's easier, but still not guarenteed with huge amounts of tickets) it's totally impossible without spending passes and/or an obscene amount of equus that most players do not have.
I have rather lost interest in the game. Though i still try and get free stuff for a while, as that will be helpful if i ever get into it again. xD This great challenge and festivities is so dull though. I was doing even less on Howrse than usual until the pinata's arrived again and i am not very fond of this particular promo.

I am really annoyed by the fact that Howrse makes it impossible for people who don't want to use HOP's and all that stuff to finish the pinatas. I don't fart passes so I can't afford buying tons and tons of HOP's to finish these pinatas. ;n;

I don't fart passes either, I wish I did. Surprisingly last time I got enough HOPS to get two Falls. I thought it would never happen.
One thing I know is that im not getting Winter anytime soon.

None of the events, with the exception of the lottery, can really be finished without using passes in some way, whether it be directly or through HOP's etc. Which is why I don't try at any of them anymore really. I'll finish what I can, but if it requires a large sum of equus or BMI or something I don't care and will just leave it. I try enough to get a fair supply of BMI for training skillers, but I don't waste anything to try and get the divine ;n;

Speaking of which, the lotto winnings supplied my newest trainee. Not the best, but she is from a line of my horses so that's why I chose her over a random sales horse. I wish I had an M. arms for her, as she excels at XC comps and I would love to rack her up, but oh well DX

I am looking to eventually sell her, whether it be now or in the near future, so if you're interested let me know. I don't have any set prices, but passes are, naturally, greatly favored over equus as they fund the next horse's BMI.

This lady also gave birth this morning, and I will be selling at least one of her fillies. The other might be my next project, but I am still trying to decide.
