I heard my truck pull up and I quietly ran downstair. I got to the bottom if the stairs as Sam walked in with Anna . My eyes widened at her swollen cheek then I glared. Not because of Anna but because of her moms stupid excuse of a man. No one should dare touch a girl if it wasn't in a kind manner. I walk up to Anna and she sniffles and pull her up close not caring that her tears would be on my bare chest. "Oh Anna are you alright?" I question knowing far too well that she isn't.

[Griever.]

Anna.

She had finally got herself a little under control until Ronan came out and hugged her. She froze for a moment and then burst out in tears again. She wrapped her arms around him and sobbed. She wasn't sad or mad that he was hugging her, but it was nice to know she had more then one person with her. She loved Samantha like a sister, but to have Ronan there as well made her happy. She hugged Ronan tight not wanting to let him go.

I suck in a breath as Anna hugs me tightly. She sure is strong. She probably feels so alone right now. I think about how I felt before I told Sam my secret and remembered who I might not be accepted and be rejected by everyone. I shudder at the thought of being alone and hug Anna back. "Come one Anna, Sam, let's head to my room."

She shivered and then nodded. She gently let him go so she could try and gain control of herself again. The hiccups had gotten worse and she was having a hard time breath. When she stopped sobbing she relaxed, now knowing she wasn't alone anymore. That's when it hit her. The reason why she started crying was because she was alone. She felt like it was going to be that horrible day again, but it wasn't. This time she had her friends by her side, This made her smile and cry more "Y-You guys m-mean a lot t-to me." She said and was now crying happy tears as she followed Ronan inside.

"The same goes to you Anna." I say as I guide her up the stairs by her hand with Sam behind her. I glance over at Anna as we head to my room. I set her on my bed and I sit down on the blankets and face her. I quickly stand up and curse myself for being so blind. "I'll be right back." I quickly go to the kitchen and fill up a bag with ice. As I come back into the room I pick up my shirt that I left on my bed and rap it around the bag if ice. "Here for you cheek" I say feeling helpless as that is the only thing I could think off.

Anna.

Anna sniffled when she sat down. She had full control now but tears still fell down her cheeks. She nodded when Ronan said he would be right back. She didn't looked up though. She hung her head and looked down at her hands, watching as the tears fell on them. Although it was had because the tears blurred her vision. She looked up when Ronan came back and frowned. She did want to put it on her cheek, knowing it would hurt badly, but she knew that it would help some of the swelling. She gently took the ice and started to place it on her cheek. She winced and pulled it away quickly. This time she bit her lip and gently placed the ice on her cheek. It hurt so bad that she bit her lip hard enough to cause her to bleed, and a few more tears came down. Once some of the pain subsided she sighed and looked at Ronan and gave her best smile.

I winced as Anna slowly placed the makeshift ice bag against her cheek. It probably hurt like he'll but it would help with the swelling. As Anna gives me a wet smile anger starts to bubble inside of me. "How dare someone do this to you." I practically spat out. "If I find him he will truly regret the day he touched you." I say already Knowing that it was her moms boyfriend even if she didn't say it. I stand up and grab a box if tissues on my desk in the corner and sit down on the bed next to her. I can fell how cold she is and when her cold shoulder touched my bare one I shiver. Not only was she hit but she was also out in the cold. I grab my blankets from my bad and wrap them around her.

Emily gently kissed Matt back starting to feel better. He always knew how to make her feel better. She wrapped her arms around him and just held him close. She wiped away her last few tears and smiled faintly." Mmm....I love you. So so much. I'm sorry for the crying and everything?" Said Emily. She gently pulled away and leaned back against the chair. She blushed deeply and looked over at him lovingly." Do you want to go do something?" She asked with her sweet southern accent,

Anna.

She shook her head "Ill be alright." She said and her voice cracked and she sighed "He's not worth it." She added and looked down at her lap. She hopped her mother was ok, but she's been with the man for 3 years now she can handle it, but she didn't know how her mother could take those hits. Just thinking about it made her even more worried. Anna snapped back from her thoughts as Ronan wrapped the blankets around her. She smiled again at how warm they were. "Thanks Ronan." She said softly.

"No problem Anna." I look at her more deeply and I can see that right now I shouldn't push for details and I should wait till morning to ask. "Are you hungry?" I ask. The only time I saw her eat was when we had our eating contest. I grin remembering. "Wait a second who am I kidding? Anna is always hungry!" I tease. Instead of going down to the kitchen I head to my nightstand and open the last drawer. I have a handful of gronaloa bars and energy drinks for after I run and don't have time for breakfast. I hand them to Anna hoping she could get her kind off of it just for her to eat something.
