in the recent future, vegetation underwent a transformation. a transformation deadly to any who eat them. all plants, with an exception of berries, produce a lethal biotoxin that kills anything that eats it within three days. in less than six months, eighty-nine percent of the world population was dead. the remaining americans decided to attempt burning down the plants. unfortunately, they did not foresee that the poison would increase the plant's flammability by sixty-two percent. the fire ended up destroying a large majority of the buildings and taking lives. when the world population was down to ninety-six, something happened. maybe we began to develop a immunity to the toxin. maybe the poison weakened. maybe it mutated. maybe mother nature decided to help us out. because when the survivors ate the plants, they didn't die. instead, they received kinetic powers. just two problems. one; the vegetation was still poisonous after they got the powers. two; each power had a fault.
