Summer lifted her head to look at Natsu. He'd moved close, clearly interested in the heat scent clinging to her. The mare had just begun her last stage of heat so she'd accept any stallion, even this young one next to her. Summer nickered gently to Natsu, one ear flicked towards the battle occuring nearby.

Flicker snorted and bumped into Titan's side. Nickering softy to him. "Come on, let's go. You can get mares another time. You can not go against three young stallion." She bumped him with her head again, shaking her mane out in persistence.

Akuma walked through the meadow, his ears swiveling as he listened carefully to his surroundings. His son, Riku, trailed behind Akuma and the was also remaining alert, but he was more relaxed than Akuma was. It was spring, mares were in heat or going into heat and their scents were driving stallions crazy. Akuma has no mares, he lost them all last year but this year he was determined to have another band, one that was larger and greater than his first. However, if he wanted to have a band he would need some mares. He was either going to have to find a loner, or steal some from a band. Either choice was fine with him, he didn't care if he had to steal from a stallion, he wanted a band. He couldn't see any horses in the area though, so he raised his head slightly and released a loud neigh, calling out to any mares.

Natsu was ignoring the fight right now, the young chestnut was more interested in Summer now. Once he reached the mares side he halted, and began to gently groom her flank. He only groomed her briefly however, after a few moments he paused and moved slightly, bumping his muzzle against the mare's rump and asking for permission to cover her.

Summer let him, figuring Warrior would be to busy to notice. She wasn't surprised at how briefly he groomed her before asking. The palomino stood still, accepting the young stallion.

Natsu blinked, the young stallion didn't think that she would have accepted him but she did. His father wasn't going to be happy with him, but the young male didn't care and fade to black. -unfade- The two year had moved so that he was standing beside Summer, his ears laid back in a relaxed way as he gently groomed the mare's shoulder.

The quiet mare trotted across
the valley, her heat scent trailing behind her. Canyon's ears perked up, listening silently for calls from stallions. The mare let out a sigh when she couldn't hear any, and slowed to a walk. Canyon surveyed the terrain in front of her, searching for any horses coming towards her.

Canyon didn't mind that their weren't any stallions in sight, but she was not reassured either.

Cusick slipped a bit on the stones and pebbles but made it to the other side of the river. He smelled the heat sent and whinnied again. "Hello."

When Ciqala felt her stomach was full, she began trotting into the forest. She enjoyed the shade even if it wasn't too hot yet. Her heat scent was left behind her as she wondered through the forest and her eyes were peeled for stallions.

stallion as he approached, and let out a quiet whinny in his direction. "Hello", she said in her very quiet voice, barely audible. She flicked her tail absentmindedly.
