Foxflame turned to look at Snowstorm, his fur bristling involuntarily. Howdare he question Snowstorm and defy her like that? He shook his head and began padding after Frigidstar. Suddenly, he scented rabbit. Even though they were on border patrol, he couldn't say no to a rabbit. He looked to Frigidstar for permission to go after it.

Snowstorm glared at her and then looked ahead. "Because your so gullible and naive."

Frigidstar growled at him. "You're naive to think I even care about you." Frigidstar said to him, sounding a little annoyed, of course she cared about Snowstorm though, she had been around him and his brother their whole lives. She twitched her ear a little bit as she padded, her lithe body making its way along the river. "Be careful, the river is deeper here."

Timidpaw did as instructed from her Mentor, she made her way to the hole and looked down to him expectantly. "What now?" She questioned softy.

A sly expression came over the leader's face. "You tell me." And suddenly, a small and fluffy gray squirrel exploded from the knothole, leaping from the side of the tree onto a higher branch above. Its teeth chattered in fear.

Snowstorm looked to her and shook his head. "You don't mean that."

Foxflame looked to both cats. He wasn't sure what to do. "Let's just keep patrolling," he mewed, glancing to Frigidstar for guidance. "We wouldn't want any Rainclan cats to hear us arguing so close to the border."

Frigidstar glanced to Foxflame. "We're nowhere near their border but alright, I guess we wouldn't want SunClan hearing us argue." She mewed, and looked to Snowstorm, her eyes narrowing. "You don't know what I mean." She said to him harshly, as she continued to lead the patrol, pausing to scent the air she smelled the stale scent of rouge and continued on. "We should probably head back..."

Timidpaw watched as the squirrel erupted from the hole, as it did so she gave it a good smack with her paw though it continued on, which made her jump a little in fright, her fur standing on end and her green eyes wide with fear. Her ears lay back and she looked to the squirrel. "What now?"

The Abyssinian snorted aloud in disbelief. "What do you think? Catch it!" He called up, careful not to disturb the squirrel any further. He paced just below her, poised if anything would happen to her. The branches were strong here, he knew, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Foxflame, glad that his attempt at distracting the cats out of arguing had actually worked, nodded to Frigidstar's words. "We have been gone for awhile," he commented. "And there doesn't seem to be anything out here." He turned to follow Frigidstar back to camp. Why does Snowstorm have to be so difficult! he thought, shaking his head.
