XxStarDaGalxX: Actually, it looks like his fins are regrowing. It is hard to tell from the pic, though. Keep a close eye on him. If his fins do begin to receed, however, treat him with clean water and a little aquarium salt.

Keep in mind Musquito fish CAN and USUALLY WILL crossbreed with guppies. If you get others, dont be suprised if they dont stop chasing each other around the tank, it is their way to enforce dominence. You can care for them almost the same as guppies, because I have gotten away with that. Best of luck!

What kind of fish is this? My dumb brother went to the fair and ignored my warning and instead deliberately got a fish. This was 2 months ago. Then, the fish was about a inch long. Now it's much bigger! Almost 2 1/2 inches! I don't know what kind of fish it is, and if it is going to out grow my tank I need to take it somewhere that would be more ideal for it to live. I'm frankly surprised it is alive still, most Carni fish don't live very long. xP
-This is NOT my image but FOR SURE the kind of fish I have. Same colour and everything

Looks like a goldfish.
And most fair fish are goldfish.
You might want to find someone with a pond to give him to... or invest in a 30+ gallon tank(I believe that's the right size, someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Common goldfish grow to be larger than 8 inches unless they are stunted(which is a slow, painful death).
But if you aren't sure what kind of fish it is, you should probably post a picture of your actual fish. ^^

The only gold fish I've seen are like round and plump. xD So I didn't think it was a gold fish.
And that is the kind of fish it is, I don't have a camera or any way to get a photo of my fish in real life though or else I would have ;n;

What kind of fish is this little one? His name is Carmel:

Once again, sorry for the quality. My camera hates me. We will be fixing the better one soon.
Carmel is an adult male Mosquito fish. He is a nice sized boy too. If you don't have any female mosquito fish(its hard to tell them apart from dull female guppies) he will be fine with other guppies, just make sure you don't keep him with fish with excessively long fins like some bettas and guppies, normal guppies should be able to handle a single male Mosquito fish(female guppies can be mean lil buggers when it comes to that lol).
Alright, thank you so much. He is about an inch long. Yeah, he is the only one I have. XD I have fancy guppies. Can I keep him with some girls? Yes they can, lol.
