While she was uneasy about this young stallion now and kept an eye on him, she could understand his reasoning. The young stallion did not want to lose his only mare, and his foal that she would be birthing. And if said foal happened to be a colt, there was a chance the stallion who took her would kill the thing. It was a part of nature. Stallions only wanted to pass on their genes, and the chances of them keeping another's colt were slim. So the chestnut mare nodded her head, before sighing. "I understand. Can't be too careful." The mare said, before flicking her tail. It wasn't like she had to be with Anloric, but he seemed like a nice enough stallion. Plus, his mare seemed quite kind, and like she would be a nice female friend for Dante.

While the mare grazed, her growing son pranced around her, nipping at her every now and again, obviously bored and wanting to play. The mare flicked her tail as he rounded her again, gently whipping him with it, as well as releasing her heat scent. As much as she disliked being in Pan's herd, she would soon be in her standing heat. And she wondered if soon enough, she'd be carrying his foal. But all of those thoughts left her head when she noticed a smaller figure in the distance. Not necessarily a foal, but quite close. The mare nickered to her young son, curious as to who or what this was, before trotting off towards the stream. Ghost, of course, cantered after her. When Phantom stopped a few feet away from the figure, she noticed it was a yearling. A filly to be precise. Ghost, immediately started to approach her, but his mother snorted at him, telling him to stay at her side. The colt, though irritated, complied, and the mare lowered her head, sniffing at the yearling. She was surprised to find no stallion's scent to her, and figured she must have either gotten lost or kicked from her herd. Something along those lines, perhaps. So Phantom cautiously nudged her side, before letting out a low neigh. How would the filly react? Just in case she became startled, Phantom ushered her son to stand behind her in order to avoid any possibly injuries.

The flaxen chestnut mare sighed, as she slowly walked along. Alone again, for the second time. But it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. She'd always thought of herself independent anyways. Well, until she'd met Death. The young and handsome stallion had absolutely won her over, and provided her with something she'd never felt; love. Of course, like every good thing in life, that love was abruptly taken from her when his brother, Fiasco, took his herd. From then on, she'd never seen him again. Yes, she caught one mere glimpse of him with a rather abusive paint mare and her filly, but that was about it. If he could move on, so could she. So she complied with Fiasco, although she didn't care much for him, and eventually let him cover her. And things were going fine up until he pulled up lame trying to chase off bachelors. The mares eventually dispersed when he showed no signs of recovering. That being said, Honey was now alone, and eight months pregnant with his foal.

What on earth was that? The young paint mare thought, upon hearing a distant voice, as well as snarls. It sounded as if someone were fighting with a predator. Did they need help? Was there more than one dangerous animal? And if so, would they come for her next? She froze in place, pricking her ears as she listened. The snarls had suddenly stopped, and she gulped. Either their prey was dead, or they were. Nami hadn't a clue. But she wouldn't dare go anywhere near said area, for fear of her own safety. So the painted mare cautiously continued on, though she continued to glance over towards the area the sounds had been coming from. And then, without really thinking, she gave a neigh. That would either earn a response from whoever had been in trouble, or attract the predators. Guess she'd soon find out.
