Peter is a very charming young man. He's
always been a little bit of a trouble maker,
thanks to his friends. He realized fairly soon
that they weren't even that great of friends,
he was just getting in trouble because of
them. With a little guidance from his aunt
and uncle, he cut off the friendships and
started over with friends again, only finding
a few that met his "standards." He was never
a social light, always having his nose buried
in a book or in his laptop. He never told any-
one what he was doing on the piece of tech-
nology, and always kept to himself. He does
not speak much, which makes him a great
secret keeper. He is a great and loyal friend
to have, always being there if you need him.
He can act as a shoulder to cry on, an advice
book, or anything really. He didn't come from
a very rich family, so those who look for him
as a piggy bank are always let down when he
politely declines the first time. If you ask him
more than once, you'll most likely be on his
bad side by then.

Tait and Lyx are siblings. Their mother died shortly after Lyx was born; Tait watched it happen, and still has nightmares, but refuses to tell anyone about it, even his sister. Tait is usually dark and brooding. Some might occasionally call him insane; he's not afraid to fight, and occasionally explodes for no clear reason, and he can't always control himself. When you get on his good side, he is a trustworthy, loyal friend. Get on his bad side and you'd be lucky to escape unscathed. He is extremely protective of his sister, especially when she decides she's interested in another guy. He can occasionally seem controlling of her.

Ryan woke earlier than she normally does. She got up, shuffling over to her computer and turning it on, before shuffling over to the kitchen and beginning to make breakfast for both her and her best friend, Peter. He had an apartment and she was sick of her parents, so he let her move in with him, as long as she helped with the rent. She was making scrambled eggs and bagels with cream cheese. She smiled, as the bagels popped out of the toaster. She carefully placed one on one plate, and the other on another plate. One for her, one for Peter. She finished with the eggs soon after. "Peter! Breakfast!" she said, her German accent prominent. Her mom was right from Germany, so that was what she was used to hearing. While her dad was also straight from Russia, he was rarely ever home during her childhood, so she got a German accent instead of a Russian one. She listened for Peter; he always moved around a lot in his bed before actually getting up and eating, but she didn't hear him. She sighed, and walked down the hallway to his room. She entered, and watched him sleep. Aw...he's so cute when he sleeps...well, he needs to eat. she thought to herself, walking over to his bed and gently shaking his shoulder. "Peter...Peter, wake up...breakfast is ready..." she said softly, close to his ear.

Peter woke up to his best friend shaking his shoulder, and the smell of eggs. He smiled, his eyes fluttering open. The first thing he saw was Ryan's brilliant blue eyes and her pale skin tone. He then pulled his head back a little and watched her. He heard her say something about breakfast, but he was still tired. Then he heard that she added something about bagels. They were his favorite. He sat up slowly, running his fingers through his hair. The sheets fell from his toned upper body, exposing his slightly-tanned chest. He only slept in shorts anyway, it was what was most comfortable for him. He smiled at his friend. "Thanks so much for doing all this...you're the best." he said softly as he approached the table, sitting down. He picked up his plate of a bagel and some cream cheese, and then put some of the scrambled eggs on it. He smiled, looking up at her.

〜Lyx sighed to herself, staring up at the ceiling. She didn't want to get up. She didn't want to face another boring day. She didn't want to face her brother. Like the universe cares what I want, she thought sourly, slowly bringing herself to sit up, then stand and pull a robe on. She ran a hand through her hair to calm it down a bit, then walked downstairs. Her brother was in the kitchen already, sitting at the table with two plates of food waiting.

➣Tait gazed at her as she appeared, not showing any emotion for the moment. He eventually stood up and pulled her chair out for her, then kissed her cheek. "Almost slept in again, didn't you?" Lyx just grunted in reply and sat down.

Ryan smiled slightly at her friend's words, them making her feel slightly better. Maybe today won't be so horrible... she thought to herself. She thought about her friend Lyx, wondering how she was doing. She sat down and pulled her phone out of her pocket, texting her. Hey, just wanted to know if maybe you wanted to hang out with me today. Haven't talked to you in a while. Maybe we can catch up. Text me back. She pressed send and waited for her friend to reply as she munched on her bagel. She soon got bored of waiting for her to text back, and went on her instagram feed. She smiled slightly when she visited her home page. She had one of the popular accounts; she had 21.3k followers. now if only I had this many friends in real life...

Peter smiled as he watched his friend. He soon pulled out his own phone, texting her from across the table just to annoy her. He knew she hated whenever he did that. He smiled deviously as he waited for her to look up at him with an annoyed expression. She never did though. Huh...maybe it hasn't come through yet... he thought to himself, still awaiting the priceless expression she always gave. But it never came. He sighed, giving up. He figured she had just ignored the text or that she didn't notice it. That tended to happen a lot too. He got on his own instagram feed, also having a popular account. He had 21.6k followers, and he loved every single one of them. His one main goal was to get one of his actual friends to follow his account without knowing it was him. That would be pretty awesome.

〜Lyx ate a bit, then pulled out her phone, feeling it vibrate. She smiled faintly, then bit her lip as Tait stiffened ever so slightly and began tapping a finger on the table. Some of the smallest things seemed to bother him, and her taking her phone out at the table was one of them. She sent a quick text back; Hey. Can't talk now, can meet you later. Let me know when and where. :)

➣Tait sighed heavily, taking a moment to make sure he was in control of himself. "Making plans?" Lyx glanced at him, quickly putting her phone away, and shook her head. He'd go to work soon; he wouldn't notice if she met someone. Or she hoped not.

Ryan felt her phone vibrate, and nodded to herself. She remembered Lyx's brother, Tate. She kind of felt bad for him, being as dark and solemn as he was. Once she tried to reach out and become his friend, but she became better friends with Lyx. They were much more alike and had many more common interests. She heard Peter say he was off to work and waved to him, smiling at him. "Alright, see ya." she said, not really caring. She was busy trying to think of when and where she could meet Lyx. How about Starbucks at around noon? she texted her friend. She sat patiently, awaiting her friend's response. She got up and plopped down on the couch, that being more comfortable. She went back to her instagram, scrolling through her feed. Every few seconds a new notification would pop up, saying she had new followers, more likes, and more comments. She's grown used to the annoying orange pop-up, and just kept scrolling.

Peter finished his bagel and put the plate in the dishwasher, as well as Ryan's. He knew she was making plans for the day, mainly because she'd be alone during the day because he was at work. She worked one of the later shifts that he did, so she was working in the evening when he was home. It worked out pretty well. He got his car keys and headed to the door. "I'm going to work, see you later." he said, before walking outside and down to his car. He smiled as he drove to work, humming along with the music on the radio.

〜Lyx ate a bit more, then leaned back, avoiding Tait's gaze. She wasn't a morning person, and he knew that, but he still tried to get her to eat a decent breakfast every now and then. Very much a lost cause, in her opinion. He got up to do the dishes, muttering something to himself. As soon as his back was turned, Lyx pulled out her phone again and texted back: Sure, sounds great.

➣Tait wasn't stupid; he knew his sister, and he knew she was making plans. At times like these, it took him a great deal of effort to relax and let her do as she wished. Although if he had his way, she'd never be out of his sight or influence. He busied himself with the dishes, ignoring the sound of fingers tapping on a phone. Phone which I paid for. Would think she could at least respect mealtimes.
