Heartpaw walked back to camp in silence, her head drooping and her tail trailing in the dirt.

Oakstar frowned and trotted up next to Heartpaw, quietly walking next to her.

Heartpaw felt Oakstar's presence next to her but ignored it. She didn't know what to say to him, she didn't want to look at him, she knew she would make a fool of herself. She quickened her pace slightly.

Oakstar looked down at her, "Tomorrow morning we can have a fighting lesson or two. Okay?"

Heartpaw nodded. "Okay," she said, sighing slightly.

Oakstar glanced at her, "Would you feel more comfortable if Tinypaw didn't come with us?"

Heartpaw looked up at Oakstar, her eyes shining with gratefulness. "Yeah," she said quietly, resisting the urge to entwine her tail in her mentor's.

Oakstar nodded, "Okay. Then I will train you two at different times." He stated and gave her a faint smile.

Heartpaw nodded and dashed away for the apprentices' den, feeling her fur burn as she passed staring cats.

Sagewind shook her head and started to laugh " im going to get you back for that when you least expect it" she said narrowing her eyes playfully.
