He touched his tail tip to him, frowning. "There have been plenty of cats in the past who have fallen into the river, blind or not. Podpaw, you don't need to worry at all. Besides, you've only become an apprentice! You'll be just as good a warrior when the time comes." Hollowflight assured him.

Duskfur padded back to camp slowly, her tail almost on the ground. Sighing she entered the camp, her eyes on the ground.

Podpaw sighed, "I guess" he muttered, looking back up at Hollowflight. "Can we get back to camp now? I really want to see my mother..." He meowed, standing up stiffly.

[Goldy~]

He immediately nodded. "Yes, of course. Let's go, then," Hollowflight rose to his paws as well, flicking his tail. "This way." the brown cat began heading towards the direction of RiverClan camp, being sure to keep his pace at a more comfortable tempo for Podpaw.

Podpaw followed along, keeping right beside Hollowflight as they gradually returned back to camp. Ears perked, the tabby Tom stiffly walked forward, anxious to see his mother? And be able to rest in hos warm, dry nest.

"Podpaw!" Duskfur exclaimed, fear piercing her voice. Running to her kit she pulled him close and began licking his fur backwards.

Podpaw pressed himself against his mother, a small whimper escaping his throat. "I fell in the river" He began, his voice soft and low, "I..couldn't really see it with my..erm...my eye" He shuffled his paws uneasily, knowing how his mother felt about his blind eye. He licked her cheek reassuringly, "But I'm ok now!" He assured her, although that was not all that true. Podpaw has been stripped of his pride, but would probably regain it after a nap. "Hollowflight saws me!" He meowed, gratefully glancing over at his mentor.

Troutstream paced, awaiting Curlpaw's return. She was tremendously bored.

"Oh Podpaw" Duskfur said softly, purring lightly to help comfort her son. Curling her body around her now dry son she softly licked his head.

Podpaw purred at the feeling of his mother comforting him. He felt like a kit again. But he wasn't a kit anymore. He was training to become a warrior. Embarrassed, Podpaw squeezed himself out of his mother's grip, though looking up at her happily. "Thanks mother" He smiled, glancing back at Hollowflight, "I should probably go...see you around!" he quickly meowed before bounding over to Hollowflight.
