Okay, so I've tried all of these many times, and still keep getting the grey screen.
It's possible that Java wasn't installed correctly on your computer or that you're using an older update. Uninstall all Java programs from your computer and download and install the latest version from their website. Then be sure to refresh your browser.

I really need to use the oekaki. What else should I do?

I've tried to use the search function, and have gone back a couple of pages here to see if my questions have already been answered, but I haven't found anything.
I got a mac and I've been trying to use oekaki but it won't work properly on any of my internet browsers.

Safari works, but I don't have any pen pressure. Which I need to be able to draw properly. I installet J-tablet a long time ago and haven't experienced any problems on any other browser. I tried to install it through safari but that didn't work. When I open up oekaki I get asked if I want to run java but it doesn't show the usual warning about J-tablet.

Firefox will load, ask me if I want to run the program and informing me about j-tablet but after that I can't click anything and it freezes the entire browser.

On chrome it asks me to download the plugin program, when I click the button to go to the java site I get this message:
Chrome does not support Java 7 on Mac OS X. Java 7 runs only on 64-bit browsers and Chrome is a 32-bit browser.

If you download Java 7, you will not be able to run Java content in Chrome on Mac OS X and will need to use a 64-bit browser (such as Safari or Firefox) to run Java content within a browser. Additionally, installing Java 7 will disable the ability to use Apple Java 6 on your system.

This is getting really frustrating since I've already been borrowing a computer to get to use sai, and I don't want to have to depend on borrowing a computer to be able to design adoptables.

If you've recently updated Java, then it may take a while to load the first time. If it keeps freezing, clear your browser's cache.

At first since yesterday, it would be on the loading screen saying "starting", but it would never go past that no matter how long I waited. It wasn't frozen, I could scroll up and down just fine and such. Not sure if it was Oekaki or my own computer screwing up, but every time I tried it did the same thing, on both google chrome and firefox.

But today, the loading screen won't even load, it'll just say error click for details, but when I click it nothing shows up.
(screenshot above)

Is this happening with other people? Or is it a problem with just my laptop? I updated java the night before last and Oekaki was working just fine until yesterday afternoon.

Uninstall Java and reinstall. Could've been an issue somewhere.

Can you try to use another browser to see if this keeps happening? Then you'll know whether it's a Java issue or a browser issue.

Can you try to remove all contents from JTablet from your laptop and install it again?

Is your internet connection stable and fast? Because if it's a slow connection, then this may happen. Use a cable to connect to the internet and see if this keeps happening or not.

My computer loads the Oekaki screen correctly, but after a couple of seconds the program will just freeze on me and won't allow me to draw. I've made sure all outdated versions of Java aren't installed, cleared my browser's cache, made sure java was enabled, restarted my browser, and installed JTablet, but nothing seems to work for me.

I took of screenshot here. Everything looks fines, but if I try to do something, such as adding a layer, the plus sign won't light up.
I'd really appreciate any help I could get q v q Thank you!

No matter what I'm using that needs Java (oekaki, other websites, etc.) it freezes the tab. I can't even use the thing on the Java website that checks for outdated versions, because that freezes too! This is so frustrating, how can i fix it?

Alright, so I have Mac OS X and I use Firefox.

I downloaded JTablet, but my pen pressure wouldn't work for the normal 'hard round' brush- it stayed at a constant size of 1 when I drew, even if I changed the size on the side.

JTablet keeps giving me annoying pop-ups, too, so now I've tried to uninstall it. I removed it and put the installer package in trash, and it shows nothing in my Library/Java/Extensions section as the JTablet website says, yet I still get these pop-ups asking me to allow JTablet?

Does anyone have any suggestions? At this point I either 1) Want to get it working without the constant pop-ups and to get my brush sizes to work properly, or 2) get it completely uninstalled so no pop-ups keep appearing.

Can anyone possibly help? Thanks!

Are you using Chrome? Because a lot of people have the same issue with Chrome and I have not yet found a solution for it. I haven't even been able to recreate the issue. I suggest using another browser temporarily until Chrome brings out a fix.

Verify if you've downloaded it correctly.
