A wide grin split across her face as the mare leaned into Brant's hand, slowly bobbing her head against it. "She wants you to scratch her ears," explained Ashleigh. "Like this." She scratched gently behind the pegasus's ears, and she slumped her head against Ashleigh's hand, closing her eyes with a grateful sigh. She giggled and patted her neck before kissing her velvety muzzle.

Royce unsheathed his Stygian iron dagger. It seemed to infect the morning air with darkness...then again, Stygian iron wasn't exactly made of sunshine and rainbows. "This thing." he stated bluntly, as though he were holding some childhood toy that he could care less about now that he was older. But, in reality, he really was attached to this knife, and he didn't know if he'd be willing to part with it when confronted with the choice.
