Cute! I don't think putting spots on a species is copying kiamaras since lots have them and I'm sure kiamaras weren't the first.

I don't personally think they're too similar to kiamaras, and I agree spots aren't a copy-rightable trait. q v q
Still, with having the tail, feathers, and spots, I'm afraid you might get some hate from avid kia-fans. I do for my species and all they have in common is having feathers x'D

I think kia fans are very protective over traits like spots or tails. I didn't think the feathers are too bad because they are actually grown and not tied on but maybe it is.

I am happy I didn't add horns as well because that would've just been the biggest mistake ever. I'm still not sure if I'm making these into a species, a lot of my previous species haven't been popular.

love the spots! one thing you can do it maybe add some sort of hair style so it doesn't seem so blank... or add wings

I am not adding hairstyle or wings, thanks for the advice though. I personally think wings look tacky and the hair would just make it a copy of Kiamara's or what looks like it.
