Yeah that's what I thought. XD The girls seem to really outnumber the guys on this website. And from what I've seen, most people tend to have dæmons that are the opposite gender as them. I think having a female dæmon would be neat but I've had Chi-Chu for about 7+ years I think so I think a sudden change of gender would make things quite weird for us.

Do any of you have a female or genderless/genderfluid/etc./etc. dæmon?
Evelyn's a female! I'm not entirely sure why, since she could have gone any way with me being genderfluid and all. I remember, when we first started and were talking about gender, she ruled out male almost immediately and spent a while debating whether she wanted to be agender or female. I guess it's uncommon for genderqueer daemons, since I've only ever encountered a few.

I also really have a hard time remembering past conversations with my daemon. I mainly remember the times he has comforted me and told me that everything's all right. I'm afraid of the dark but I can't fall sleep when the lights are on, so it's really nice to imagine cuddling with him and listening to all the nice things he says.

Even though daemons are incorporeal and therefore are able to change their gender at will (technically making them genderfluid), both my dae and I consider him to be a male. He will sometimes take the form of a female animal if there's a huge difference between the male and the female of that species (like with peafowl or mallards), but his 'voice' will remain male. Sometimes he'll also take on the form of a sterilised animal, but that's in his Welsh mountain pony form (which is a gelding). I wouldn't say that he's very strict about gender. He just does what feels right and, for the most part, that's being a male binturong. Have any of your daemons ever taken the form of a sterilised animal? They have very different behavior from their 'intact' counterparts.

To add to the gender conversation, while I picture mine as male (although he is technically genderfluid, as Verdande brought up ;) ) personality wise he isn't really masculine. While I'd say he's more masculine than feminine, he's honestly closer to the middle of the spectrum. Do you find your dæmon to be more masculine, feminine, or neither?
And to respond to Verdande's question, no, he hasn't. He's pretty much only projected in the form of a squirrel (or similar small wild mammal) and he has not become anything more domesticated and I highly doubt he ever will.

I wouldn't say that he's masculine nor feminine. He just is whatever he feels like, which is always a male mind and usually a male body. It's probably a way for me to cope with only being in a female body, which can sometimes feel a bit constricted. Whenever I start to wonder too much about gender, Tos tells me to relax and stop wasting so much time on finding the right label and instead just focus on being me.

Chromahound: Please cut down on the amount of daemon commentary. When it's related to the topic at hand it's fine but too much is spammy.

I do not. Cy has always been male. I started way back in the days of taking directly from HDM where daemons were almost always the opposite gender and it just stuck. After seven years with him, it's hard to break.
I actually just had to count how many years I've known Cyrus. Seven years is nothing to sneeze at, wow.

Sol is male, no doubt. He's more masculine. It's pretty hard to change much about your dæ after you've been with them for a long time, in response to Rainbow Dash. And I can't believe how long some of you have had your dæmons! What's your CIEday (or approx.) Mine is sometime in March.

Neither me nor Tos have no idea when our CIE-day was, but we figure I found TDF around December or January 2012. So we agreed upon the ist of January as our CIE-day. Then we can we can celebrate it by firing left-over fireworks!
