"Not right now we don't. First we need to get you some help." Rosamund replied as they made it back to camp. "Duckwing! Mothpaw!" She yowled as she helped Fishsplash into the medicine den and onto an empty nest.

He collapsed with a pained hiss, his leg twitching with pain.

Mothpaw waved farewell to the queen and ran to Rosamund. "What happened?!" She asked.

"Adder bite!" Rosamund replied, fear for Fishsplash in her voice.

Mothpaw quickly ran back to the den and reappeared with some fresh ash tree shoots. She chewed it into a paste and applied it to the bite. "These will help get rid of the venom." She explained.

Snarling at the leg being touched his gritted his teeth.

"Will he be okay?" Rosamund asked, watching Fishsplash, the frightened, worried look still on her face.

Fishsplash did his best to smile, "Ive been through worse."

"Yes, the bite will recover. He will have to check up when it comes off and to take things slowly." Mothpaw responded.

Rosamund relaxed at this. "Good." She looked at Fishsplash. "Really." Her tone said she didn't believe he'd been through worse than a snake bit.
