Snowflake watched the foals fall asleep, and looked down at her own, to see they were too. She laid down and closed her eyes, just to fall asleep.

Wildfire watched her foals for a few minutes more before closing her eyes. She stayed alert through the nigh, standing up, ears swiveling around.

Cobalt didn't drift off to sleep like the two new mothers did.

Soar pranced around the pasture, nickering and neighing. She trotted up to the gate and waited for Cherie to come out from the barn, ears swiveled up as she could hear the nickering of other horses in there.

Cherie tossed a sheet of hay into the back of Soar's stall and left with a lead rope. After fetching Soar, who was already one step ahead of her, she undid the halter and locked the stall door. "I'll be back tomorrow Soar." She said, smiling and rubbing the mare's face before leaving.

Soar glanced at the other horses, and looked around the barn. Her nose twitched at the smell of food. The mare turned and began to pull apart the hay sheet she was left with.
