Tallpaw's heart leaped. "I'm ready!" He said, a grin on his face.

Heartpaw looked as though she was going to argue for a moment but merely sighed. "Okay," she said, her tail drooping.

Oakstar smiled at Heartpaw, patiently waiting for her to explain or demonstrate what she knew for him.

Flametail nodded. "Then follow me." He meowed, and walked out the tunnel to the training area.

Heartpaw tipped her head at Oakstar. He was looking at her expectantly, as if he wanted her to demonstrate something. She felt her fur grow hot. "Uhh..." she mumbled, trying to figure out what he wanted her to do.

Oakstar tilted his head, "Can you catch something for me?"

Sagewind laughed at lionpaw "what makes you say that" she said with a challenging hint in her tone.

Heartpaw let out a breath she didn't notice she was holding. "Oh yeah, sure," she said, crouching. She opened her mouth slightly to let in the scents of the forest. She searched for awhile, then placed the scent of mouse. Heartpaw crashed through the undergrowth, pouncing at anything moving. She found herself catching a leaf in between her paws. She grumbled.

Tinypaw tried to stifle a mrrow of laughter, watching the old apprentice try and catch prey. "At this rate, all the prey will be scared away!" He mewed to himself.
