The mahogany bay stallion had no other words. When Allayo gave a command, you were to follow it without question. And even though he was older and larger, he wouldn't defy the mare. After all, as his lead, she was the one in charge around here, and he was merely a guard to the mares. Although he wasn't quite sure if this path lead all the way through the forest or came to an area too thick for horses to pass through, he wanted to get moving. Far and fast. Whatever he'd heard, whatever he caught the slightest glimpse of, he didn't trust it. The figure, although he'd only seen it for a split second, was very large. Large and quiet. It had been there for who knows how long, preying on the small band. And that made Gator uneasy. Any creature brave enough to go up against the large draft, obviously knew it could take on him as well as any of the other horses in the band easily. He followed the herd from behind, head lowered slightly as he moved behind the mares, ears flicking every which way to detect signs of any predators. For now, the forest was quiet. As Gator brought up the rear, he could detect the heat scents of all three mares, and each one was strong. He knew he'd be in for a rough season. The bachelors and other band stallions would be swarming if he didn't cover his mares, but that would have to wait. Moon was still a bit skeptic of him and Doe, please, Doe and him couldn't even stand next to each other without arguing. How was he supposed to court a stubborn and sassy mare like that? It seemed like every time they had ever talked, it always ended up turning into a big dispute between the two. Heck, it had been that way since the day they'd met, and he swore it never got better from there. "Where is it you're leading us to?" Gator nickered to his lead, curious as to where she had in mind. There was no true 'safe' place out in the wild. You were always in danger, even if you were in a cave at the top of a mountain. Someone was always eyeing you, ready to take your herd or your life. That's how the wild was. It was all about survival of the fittest. Wherever Allayo had in mind, she seemed to deem it a relatively safe environment compared to the meadow they'd been living in.
{{ It's good to be back, my friend(: I'm glad I came back when I did! Turns out I was about to lose a herd and my mare just gained a new one cx Life got in the way, but things are calmer now, and I'm on summer break. I'll probably start having Viking pop up more once they move to this new area~ And he's a pure Clydesdale(; his history briefly explains how a pure draft like him ended up here *is hug tackled* Chesh! Yes I've returned, for good! I swear it!(: Oh I miss that RP. Riot was losing her mind and screaming at air, little Nami was making friends with her... half-brothers? And poor Honey lost Death. There were so many plotlines that had never been finished. What a shame. }}
