Nathan kept the smile as the girl spoke and nodded. "Yeah, I get it." He said motioning to his own sketchbook that was in his backpack on the floor, where you could see one of its corners. "I also carry it with me just in case I feel like drawing something." He added after showing her his sketchbook.

Ashtyn listened to the boy, and glanced to his backpack once he mentioned it. She kept her sweet smile, and nodded. " Oh, I'm Ashtyn by the way. I'm a new student." She said quickly, realizing she hasn't told him her name. Her gaze drifted to the clock on the wall to see what time it is, but quickly came back to the boy.

"I'm Nathan. An old student..." Nathan said to Ashtyn. "Nice to meet you." He said a few moments later. "So, what was it that you were drawing?" He asked to the girl with curiosity. "I mean, I'm not saying that you draw that bad..." He quickly added after his question with a light chuckle.

" It's nice to meet you too, Nathan." Ashtyn replied. " I was drawing an owl. Kinda because they symbolize wisdom and intelligence." She said when he asked her about the drawing. She always thought it was unique when a drawing had meaning, or showed a story." Yeah? You haven't even seen my drawings, so how would you know that I am good at it?" She questioned in a teasing tone. " I'm decent though, I guess. At my old school everyone said I was amazing at it, but I don't necessary believe them all that much." She said, glancing back at her sketchbook.

"I can tell by what you're drawing right now and how you feel about it." Nathan replied to Ashtyn. Her drawing actually seemed pretty good. "Interesting. You don't seem pretty intelligent when you don't believe someone who tells you the truth." He teased the girl back.

Ashtyn grinned, and listen to Nathan. Her cheeks became a soft shade of pink, because she couldn't come up with a witty comment to counteract Nathan's statement. Great, just embarrassing myself again. She thought, scolding herself because he clearly saw her blush. "Maybe they are right, it's just I am not the bragging type about my work." She finally said, her bright green eyes looking at Nathan.

Nathan noticed Ashtyn blushing as she kept some thoughtful silence before speaking, keeping a chuckle to himself. "A little bit of flattering comments to yourself never hurt." He said to the girl. "By the way, you have some nice eyes. Matching your blushed cheeks." He teased the girl again.

" I guess they don't." Ashtyn replied in agreement about the comments. What he said next made her blush a little bit more. " Um... Thanks?" Ashtyn replied as a laugh slipped from her lips. " You've got quite the charm, Nathan." She replied, trying to tease him back. What kind of response is that?! She scolded herself through her thoughts. Way to make it awkward, genious. She thought as she continued to mentally argue with herself.

(Haha I guess you could say I'm a lot like Ashtyn then. I argue with myself too much. Awkwardness away! Hehe xD )
