Lieŕan grumbled.
"It was pretty obvious anyway," he said, still hefting himself up, shoulder muscles bulging, stomach clenched, locks of light brown hair falling across his face. Ara was warm and soft, and nibbled his hand impatiently. Lieŕan's gaze softened at the warm, fuzzy presence of his soul-partner's mind.

Lieŕan dared not breathe, and Ara dared not nibble his hand anymore, but he continued to lick the blood from it, cleansing it with his warm saliva. Lieŕan maneuvered around the edge of the tree-house silently, before he jumped up, moved Ara out of the way, forward-flipped into the entrance, and dodged to the side, all in the span of a few seconds.
