Maximus stands patiently, waiting for Gideon to attack. "I'll stick to he defensive this time, so I can better see your skill." Maximus explains as he waits for the other brute to attack. The wolf's thick, black and amber pelt is practically quivering. His rope-like muscles are taut and he's ready to spring into action.

Gideon:

Gideon bunched his muscular body together and leapt forward with his strong paws. Now Gideon wasn't the kind of wolf that likes to attack people for no reason, but this was different. Gideon didn't like to fight, but he was a good fighter if he had to. He sheathed his claws not wanting to hurt the other brute. Gideon leaped landing on Maximus and kicked with his hind legs flinging him upwards.

While pandora looked back at Soldier "puphood friend" she said coldly. She sat on the rock and awaited their answer, she looked back at soldir and prayed to herself "this is for you, Justin" she looked into the sky and looked back down again this time at the hard rock he stood on she pounced upon gideon's muscular body not knowing he was just fighting Maximus. Pandora meant every move she made she pulled Gideon off of Maximus by he scruff and knocked him to the ground and jumped on him her claws bloodied she bit into his neck and kept biting, and biting, she looked at him and clawed his face "WAIT Gideon?" She asked confused with mixed emotions sounding concerned most of all, she concern in hr voice outshined all other emotions

Maximus lets Gideon knock him over, knowing that he's good when it comes to pinning the other wolf. The brute dodges, however, when Gideon throws a kick, completely avoiding that attack. Maximus whirls back around and stands still, waiting for some more impressive moves. He is staying true to his words and not attacking, but when Pandora jumps wildly into the midst he instantly leaps forward. Maximus grabs the fae in his jaws and hauls her smaller form away before dropping her and looking at her with contempt. "Why did you jump in? I was trying to get a feel for southerners fighting style?" Maximus asks, demanding an explanation for the crazy antics. The brute is annoyed, he hadn't gotten to see a real fight yet.

(By the way, wolves can't retract their claws. Also their hind leg joints can bend in the necessary direction to kick backwards. Ina fight wolves mostly bite at each other or try to use their body to pin the other, etc. What you were explaining isn't possible, but I rolled with it anyways.)
