Name: Liam Michael Veselko
Nicknames: "Probably Liam. Some have called me Selko. Others have called me mentally insane. Nicknames have never bothered me."
Birth Date: July 30th, 1988
Species: "Human." Well, sort of. He's basically using a weakened demon to stay alive- just, read the history.

Image
Age: "I'm 26. Sometimes act 40, sometimes act 15. It depends."
Build: Tall, skinny, yet very muscular. He's 6ft on the dot, and weighs
160lbs. Slightly taller than some people, Liam finds it slightly easy to
see over small crowds of people, as well as an advantage for rock
climbing and overpowering some baddies.
Eyes:Boasting chocolate brown eyes, it's no problem to pull out
puppy eyes when needed for Liam. Because of his situation
(described in history), there can be times where his irises
darken to a black, if his demon is too strong.
Skin:Blessed with thick skin, Liam doesn't normally bruise. He's tan
from being outside constantly, and his scars turn an eerie white
against his tanned skin. He wears many scars, but the most
glaring of his scars are the straight white lines that go horizontally
up his spine; all evenly around six inches long, the still healing pair
of vertical lines on his forearms, and of course, the healing flesh sigil
on his chest.
Hair: Slightly long dishwater blonde hair grows from his head in
messy waves to his chin. He normally sports a disheveled look,
for he doesn't part it, instead simply running a hand through
it to push it back out of his face. It's been sun bleached, so
the under hair is darker than the top layers.
Dress: You'll usually spot this smiling man wearing old,
paint-covered, torn-at-the-knee jeans, and a range of simple
tank-tops. But the most obvious, is his constant grin that
could light up the night. He wears Bandages
on the cuts on his forearms. Finally, the only shoes he'll wear,
are those odd toes shoes.
Image
Fears: Using guns, alcohol, and if you ever lose a fingernail around him, expect him to leave the room.
Soft Spot: Someone facing their fear. He subconsciously take it as his job to help you overcome it, no matter the risk to himself.
Greatest Strength: He's fast on his feet; good to dodge. He's accurate, and can climb like a mountain goat.
Greatest Weakness: He hesitates to hurt others- and often, that one second of hesitation is all it takes for the enemy to strike him down.
Darkest Secret: He's using a weakened demon to keep himself alive.
Hobby: Rock climbing, all the way. The more you look, you'll notice his callused hands and lots of spare rope and harnesses. He also carves wood and draws.
Likes: All types of fruit, all bugs- especially spiders and butterflies, and being outdoors.
Dislikes: Being indoors, driving fast, cats, glass that's so clean he forgets it's there; He's broken too many windows because of that in his life.
Transportation: His 1964 brown Bronco, or his bicycle.

Liam is a very happy-go-lucky, optimistic kind of guy. When things get hard, he'll pick you up and cheer you on. Almost everything from his mouth is positive, or at least said with a smile. He's kind, and will stop to help anyone who needs it. With a warm heart, he's always out to give a helping hand or two. He lives to improve the world around him, to save the normal people from the monsters that are bringing so much pain into a world that doesn't need any more than it already has.
He's got your back, one-hundred percent. But that's not always a good thing. Earning his trust is like shaking his hand- it's easy, and obvious that you've earned it. But that's a problem, for a hunter. He trusts too easily. Completely trusting someone to have your back, gives them the perfect opportunity to stab your back instead- and Liam won't notice that you are plotting until the damage is already done. Some call him naive, which is sadly completely true. He's easy to pull tricks on, and to deceive.
Find him while he's studying, and you might as well leave him until he's done, or you won't have his full attention for even 6 seconds. A velcro-mind, his friends have called it. He get's easily fixated on one thing, and has trouble moving on until it's been wrapped up completely.

Image
"Sit down, this will take a little while."
He settled with his Uncle when he was 18, because his uncle offered him a job with his timber harvesting company. At 19 he was nearly killed while working late at the mill by a vampire, though managed to kill it by dropping a log on it. He called his Uncle, who turned out to be a hunter, who brought him into the supernatural world. Earlier this year, Liam returned to his parents to find his mother dead- she died in the hospital a year back from an alcohol-induced coma, and his dad possessed by a demon, currently killing the neighbors. He did not manage to save the neighbors, and because of the demon looking like his dad, Liam was beaten and knocked out. The demon trapped him, cut two gashes on the top of both forearms and sliced his back up. Liam, luckily escaped from his restraints, and tricked the demon into a devil's trap. Liam, extremely mad and affected by the loss of his father, began to torture the demon. Holy water dripping from his jar broke the trap, and the weakened demon possessed Liam. The demon broke Liam's neck, technically a fatal wound that would kill him in a few minutes, but because the demon was weak, Liam was able to take over his body again, and before he would die, drove thin iron needles into the cuts on his arms, and carved a flesh sigil on his chest. Because of this, the demon was trapped in his body, and when he tried to possess Liam, he was only strong enough to be keeping Liam alive. Liam hated this, but figured he could work with having a demon keeping him alive. To keep the demon weak so it didn't fully possess him, he drinks cups of holy water or salt water daily, despite the taste and burning. He also found a retired, and slightly insane, surgeon to surgically put an iron band in his neck around his spinal cord, and to attach the needles to the bones in his arms, a further precaution to trap the demon, as well as keep it weak. Sometimes it acts up, so you can often see him rubbing his neck a lot.
Complications: While the demon is weak: Slight pain where the iron is, holy water burns, but is bearable, and salt doesn't affect him much.
If the demon gets strong: Vivid hallucinations, extreme pain where the iron is, crossing salt is like walking in waist-deep mud, and his irises will turn black.

((So... should I just.. jump in somewhere? xD Just a tad confused since none of the other new people who have posted forms have said anything at all :silent: I was accepted and all though :D Nevermind, I'm blind and naive ))

  • Male.
  • 26 years old.
  • Doing nothing, alone.
  • The roof of an apartment building.
Scratching his neck and clearing his throat, Liam shoved himself from his makeshift bed with his right arm, blinking his sleep-filled eyes. What time is it? He pressed the rough palms of his hands against his eyes, then removed them to stare into the sky, now lit with the light of early morning, which gave off the feel of carbonated water in his mind. He blinked tightly again and pressed his palms to the blanket he had strewn underneath him, then wrapped around his legs. He sighed, "Long night." He mumbled. What were those thing? Why in the world was the sky coming crashing down? Obviously that wasn't a dream.

He had been parked in front of a cafe, finally kicked out by the last employee- he was using their TV by the counter to watch the news, until his channel was clicked off and switched to an emergency broadcast- the stars were apparently falling. Upon leaving, he had discovered that something along those lines was indeed happening- lights, shapes, came hurling across the sky, seemingly hitting the ground a distance too far away for him to travel in once night, so he had decided to sit back and watch the show. Grabbing his backpack full of his regular weapons and necessities, as well as a blanket flopped over his shoulder, he crossed the street from his Bronco and made his way to a tall, brick aparment building's fire escape. Ascending the old metal stairs with ease, he used the ledge of the window at the top of the stairwell, as well as the rail to pull himself unto a ledge, from which he shimmied onto the roof. Spinning in circles, watching the lights, he eventually settled down and sat, his knees bent and his elbows resting on them, glaring up at the odd events unfolding in the heavens above him. Apparently, somewhere around 3 in the morning, when everything seemed to be settling down, he had somehow fallen asleep on the roof.

Dazed, he pulled the memories back into his eyes, rewatching them curiously. "It almost looked like a man, the shape of one." He muttered, linking his fingers behind his head and laying down on his back. I guess it's about time to go check it out. I can drive down a ways, toward the direction of the closest shape. See if I can find what alien thing his the ground this time. He grunted and shoved himself to his feet, stuffed his mess of a bed into the backpack- besides the blanket, which he slung onto his shoulder thoughtlessly, and made his way back to where the stairwell ended 9 feet below the roof's edge. He sat on the ledge, dropped the blanket, and pushed off. Adrenaline of the drop, even if it was only for a millisecond, swam through his veins and caused a buzz in his head. He feet clanged onto the metal loudly, and he squatted to absorb the impact, the finger tips on his widespread hands brushing onto the metal. He stood up, scooped up his ratty blanket, and began making his decent down to the street, stretching his neck which was sore from a poor sleeping location the whole way down. He had only recently completely healed from his surgery on his neck, and was rather bummed to feel it acting up again. Once on the street, he looked down at his forearms, rubbing the healing cuts with his thumbs absently. His hunt four days previous had unfortunately pushed him too far, and tore the wounds back open, therefore he knew he would need to redress the wounds. Stuffing his hands into the pocket of his jacket, he dug until he felt his practiced fingers coil around the closed pocket knife. A smirk grew on his face and he looked up to cross the street, then back down at his hands as he pulled the knife out and opened the blade. The iron gleamed in the sun, and he hesitated before pinching it between his left thumb and pointer finger. At first nothing, but then it began to sting. Before he could let go, it began to burn, and he gasped. He jerked his fingers from the blade holding it out with his right hand, panting. Shoot. He looked down at his fingers, stopping next to his car and leaning against it's side. I completely forgot about keeping him weak yesterday. Come on. There was a clear red mark on his thumb and pointer finger from the blade. How could I be so stupid- do I want him to take over completely? Ruin everything I've worked for?"Stupid." He spat at himself, getting into the drivers seat. He caught a glimpse of his eyes in the mirror- his irises were darkened to a point where he actually had to look to see the brown in them. He snorted and fumbled at the lid of his water bottle that was filled to the brim with holy water, glaring at the liquid he had grown to hate.

Slipping into the cold night air, Natalie looked around the parking lot several times with wide, blue eyes. Her pupils contracted and expanded to adjust to the growing rays of light around her before settling on being small and delicate orbs. She smirked to herself and trotted down the blacktop, her feet making quiet padding sounds as the soles smacked against it. A useful vampire trick Natalie possessed was being able to hear the faintest sounds- like heartbeats if she focused on them. It could be pretty trippy and unnerving at times to have but it was good for keeping track of who was getting too close to her.
Currently clad in a pair of blue and white pinstripe boxers and a white button up shirt, Natalie wasn't exactly an elegant looking creature. Her messily, finger-combed hair didn't help her appearance. In fact, she was pretty sure she looked like a homeless crazy lady at the moment. That might have been a good thing, she was much less likely to be approached now.
Ba dum.. Ba dum.. Ba dum. Natalie stopped moving and tensed. She could hear the steady sound of a pulse not too far off. Her nostrils flared and she quickly sniffed at the air before her face twisted in confusion. She could definitely smell a human but.. there was something slightly off about it. She could also detect something harder, more acidic- like sulfur clinging to it. The vampire scanned around until she caught the vaguest outline of a silhouette sitting in a car. She bit the inside of her lip before ducking her head and deciding to make her way across the street. It was just some guy in his car, there was nothing she had to worry about. No normal human ever thought anything strange about some girl running away from a cheap motel at the break of dawn with a look of shame painted to her face. That was usually a pretty common thing if you stuck close to one long enough. "Just keep walking.." she muttered softly to herself.

Liam coughed and grunted, pushing the cup away from himself, groaning from the burning pain. "Dang it." He breathed out, trying to calm his labored breathing. The holy water burned like acid down his throat, and he coughed into his hand. Some drops of blood from his down raw through had placed themselves on his palm, and he opened the door slightly to spit the foul taste of blood from his mouth. He coughed again, rubbing his forehead as he stayed leaning a bit out of the car. Stupid, I'm such an idiot. I need to him this demon under control, keep him weak. Fool. He panted a bit and glanced at the bottle he was still holding firmly in his right hand with a stern glare. This stuff used to be good. It's helpful, I can detect and harm demons with it- now I use it mainly to hurt my demon, pretty much me. He chickened out of drinking more for now, and screwed the cap on. Trying to clear his mind of the burning in his throat, he looked up, his eyes catching onto the moving form of a person. A girl, probably around his age, sporting a rather sort of attire. She looked as if she'd only just woken up, and possibly wearing the clothes of a man- they were more masculine than feminine, and looking past her tangled brown hair and unusual clothed, Liam could she that she was naturally good looking, and figured a woman such as her would probably rather wear something that wasn't boxers and an over-sized shirt. She's not something you see every day. Huh. He craned his neck over his shoulder, feeling the dull pang of the healed surgery on his neck as he did so, and looked over his car. Not like I have anything I could give her to help. She doesn't act as if she normally lived in the streets. She has a more proud yet cautious demeanor. I don't have any girl's clothes to give her though, and not a scrap of food on me. I have water though. His eyes rolled toward the bottle of holy water and he sighed, "Not like I wanna drink this." He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then wiped the blood onto his jeans. He cleared his throat and slid out of the car, throwing a confused smile at the woman, holding his water bottle out toward her, "Thirsy?" He called, shaking it lightly, his smile turning into a friendly grin.

Natalie kept her head low, keeping her eyes firmly fixated on her feet and the steps she took to cross the road. She hesitated slightly as the subtle coppery aroma of blood lightly danced around her senses. Her mouth instinctively watered and her fangs began to push themselves out of her gums before quickly retracting back as the silence of the morning was broken. Natalie reluctantly looked up at the man and then at the bottle he was holding out to her. She quickly wiped at her face, knowing it was clean but still feeling like there might be evidence splattered all over it. She tried her best to compose herself before shaking her head at his offer, parting her lips to let her lightly accented words flow. "No-no thank you. It's uh, not usually smart to accept drinks from random strangers in a parking lot.." She pushed her bangs from her face and tried to keep eye contact, but failed. Her heightened senses kept dictating that she focus on the slight smear of crimson on his jeans.
"Focus." Natalie mentally growled to herself, wiping away the dangerous thoughts that began to rise in her mind. In only a few moments her brain had already tried to bargain with her, telling her that she had already killed one human and that she couldn't get in any worse trouble if another vanished. This guy seemed easy and trusting enough, which was almost sad. Natalie at least tried to only go after people she had deemed horrible.. But maybe this guy was secretly a really bad person? That might not really be water- it could be drugged with sedatives and whatnot, even though she knew it wasn't.
"Plus, I'm more of a whiskey person anyways.." A slight smirk curved the edges of her lips as Natalie forced her gaze to linger on his face. He was a fairly attractive man. Not looking like a primped and painted movie star, which she hated, but holding a natural, outdoorsy sort of appeal. If she didn't have the urge to tear a few holes into the side of his neck, she might have felt the compulsion to invite him to go and grab a drink some time.

Raising both his hands up defensively, Liam laughed, "Touche, I guess friendly gestures are seen more as creepy these days." He grinned and shook his head lightly, closing his eyes as he did so. He cleared his throat to try and ease the burning and crossed him arms over his chest, opening his eyes and looking back up at the girl. "Alright, well offer's still good if you change your mind. There's nothing you need? A ride, maybe a coat or something? I can't help but notice your odd attire." He raised an eyebrow questioningly and chuckled under his breath. He stuffed his free hand casually into his coat pocket, fiddling with the pocket knife again. Clicking it open in his pocket, he pinched the blade again, noting that it burned, but less than before, for he's downed nearly a whole water bottle of holy water. He closed it again and pulled his hand out, bringing it to the lid of the bottle and opening it, tipping it to his lips and taking in just the smallest amount of the burning solution before pulling it calmly from his lips. Y-yeah, still burns. Less though. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and bent one knee, resting his foot against the tire of his Bronco. Something about her is off. I mean, look at her. It looks like she raided a middle aged man's closet but got caught before she could even put pants on. She's street smart, though. I guess I probably should have thought that through a bit more- I probably look like a creep, hoping to drug and kidnap her. He ran his hand through his messy waves of hair then shook it loose agin absently. I should probably stop- she looks a little nervous, I might be freaking her out. It's too bad that hospitality is often seen as creepy when it comes to strangers- which is reasonable, but still sad.

"Don't take it personally, you don't look like you'd pull a Silence of the Lambs move but it's just natural human precaution." The vampire mentally snorted at her use of words. She then looked down at her clothes before letting out a nervous laugh. "Uh, long story.." she confessed before her mind went over his offer. "Hm.. I could use a ride.." Natalie's eyes flickered over at the old, beaten up Ford truck she had been using to get around. There was hardly an eighth of a tank of gas left, that wouldn't get her far, and she needed to get out of town as soon as she could. Well, it wasn't like she had anything to be afraid of anyways. If this guy did turn out to be a creep, he was only a human- she was a vampire. She could easily take him out if she so desired.
Natalie idly scratched her arm, growing uncomfortable with how the sun was gradually rising in the sky. She could feel the heat starting to bother her light-sensitive skin. It would be good to get out of broad daylight otherwise she was going to get herself a nasty burn.
Biting the inside of her lip, the woman flickered her gaze to the man's car before looking back at him. "Actually.." She shifted awkwardly, not use to asking for any sort of help. "I um, I could use a ride.." Natalie's voice came out meeker and more hopeless than she had initially planned. God, she sounded like some desperate chick pining for a way home after having been kicked out of her boyfriend's apartment.

Liam's smile grew into a wide grin. "Well alright!" He said laughing with his eyebrows raised. He glanced downward, then back up at her, "What about lambs?" He asked, one eyebrow raising in confusion. I'm sure I've heard the phrase.. whatever she said, I think it's movie, or a TV show or something. I wouldn't know, I hardly have the patience to sit down long enough to eat. He shook his head, feeling his hair tickle his ear, "Nevermind." He raised his hand and swatted it in dismissal, laughing under his breathe and turning his grin to face his Bronco. He glanced over his shoulder and checked down both ways of the road, despite it's lack of vehicles in this early morning. Raising his hand, he waved, motioning for her to come on over. I feel like I do this a lot more than normal people. I've picked up so many people know need rides in my time with my car- probably because it wasn't too long ago that I was hitchhiking myself. And the fact that I don't really need to worry about who I pick up- I can handle myself with werewolves and ghouls- I think I'll do fine against a crazy homeless person who doesn't even know how to use the baby-sized knife that he's clutching in his shaky fist. Liam slipped silently into the driver's seat. He shoved the water bottle into the cup holder and glared at it, I'll finish that later, when there's less of a change of people seeing it burn my throat. Glancing up at the mirror, a wave of relief flooded into his veins, for his irises, which had been nearly black, were now simply a dark brown. Another cup of holy water and they'd be back to being as brown as mud. He popped his neck with his fist, then started up the engine. Craning his neck over his shoulder, he hurriedly shoved anything that looks dangerous, like the various knifes and steaks that were messily strewn everywhere, into the nearest bag and tossed it to the back of the car from the back seat. He sat back up and looked out the window, grinning at her and giving her a thumbs up.

Natalie tilted her head slightly at how energetic and playful this man was, a ghosting smile on her lips. He was definitely very kind, which was a bit odd to find in a complete stranger. Not that she minded. It was a nice change of pace, but she didn't even know his name, which reminded her- "I'm Natalie by the way- Natalie Kruger." the vampire voiced up as she approached the car, barely noticing him throwing some bag into the back part of the vehicle. She stared at the passenger side door for a moment before placing her hand on the handle and pulling it open. She then carefully slipped inside and cautiously looked around. The feel of the car gave Natalie the idea that this guy did this sort of thing a lot, not to mention that there was a wide range of various scents that lingered in the fabric of the chairs. This guy must have traveled all over to have such an interesting assortment of aromas.
The man beside her had his own distinct scent, one that she would now have locked away in her memory banks. He smelled of pine needles, clay, and campfires. In other words, he had a woodsy, earthy smell, giving Natalie the impression that this guy was outside a lot. It wasn't a bad thing, it was something she definitely wasn't use to, but she kind of liked it.
"Do you live in this town or are you just passing through.. if you don't mind my asking?" She already knew the answer to that; it was clear he didn't stay in one place for too long but she still needed to ask. It helped keep the appearance that she was a clueless human being.
