Lionpaw nodded and they carried the prey back, he obviously carried nothing considering that he scared away his mouse. He noticed everyone gathered around the medicine cat den and sat respectfully away.

Foxpelt looked at Sagepaw, "Hawkflight swallowed something, probably death berries. I gave her that plant." She stated and pointed to the yarrow, "Isn't that what makes cats throw up?"

Sagepaw sniffed imideatly smelling the bitter smell of the yarrow "yes good work foxpelt how much did you give her ?" She asked remaning calm even though her mind and heart were racing.
what now?why would Hawkflight do this? she thought desperately.

Hawkflight felt bile rising in her burning throat. She allowed it to escape her body, and it splashed all over herself. Hawkflight gave a shuddering gasp. "Just...just let me die here..." she rasped, feeling herself tremble all over. "Nothing is here for me...nothing...nothing..." Hawkflight's eyes found Oakstar's, and she looked into them. "Leave me here to die."

"Hawkflight your purpose here is to serve the clan, teach me to do what you do, give me my medicine cat name without you i would be lost the clan would be lost" Sagepaw squared her shoulders the small fearful shy apprentice nowhere to be seen but instead a brave and muture she cat stood before hawkflight. "Now eat thease" she said like a queen correcting her kit she pushed a pile of mixed herbs containg juniper,chervil, and heather nector.

Hawkflight looked up at her apprentice. It's time. she thought. Sagepaw was all grown up. It was her time. "You," she meowed, suddenly standing up at full strength and looking at her apprentice. "are ready."

Hawkflight shook her head. "You are ready. There is no more I can teach you. Listen," she meowed, leaning towards Sagepaw and laying her tail over her shoulders. "you have been the daughter I've always wanted. I could never have asked for a better apprentice. It is my time...to become a warrior," she said, her voice strong. Hawkflight straightened up, staring at her leader. "Oakstar, I want to serve my Clan as the warrior I've always wanted to be. I want to be free to make my own decisions. Whether you love me or not no longer matters to me."

Oakstar sighed softly and frowned, "Okay Hawkflight. If this is what you wish." He murmured and looked sadly at Sagepaw.

Foxpelt frowned softly and backed out of the den quietly, wanting to give them alone time. She winced as she padded away, these kits were really kicking her.

If Hawkflight thought she was ready then she Would believe her she looked at Hawkflight and then around het too foxpelt and Lionpaw who was outside the den. Her gaze fell on oakstar and then to Hawkflight "im ready"
