Oh, yes, there are baby lines, I totally forgot about that, man, they look so awesome <3
And now I start to wonder what my other Narakari would look like in the foal lines. Hm. Well, I won't find out, I can't turn back time to see them as foals, that would be really weird. And creepy. xD (But I wish I could turn back time, I could do soo much awesome stuff... Best thing ever would be a device like the Time-Turner used in the Harry Potter Series. But then again I would like an invisibility cloak and the Marauder's Map, a Firebolt and pet Dragons and Hippogriffs as well... Man, J.K. Rowling, why can't you make the wizarding world real? It would be so awesome to drink tea at Hagrid's hut and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Great Hall! :3 - Aaaand here we go, I'm back again. So sorry for fangirlying, I just can't stop thinking about Harry Potter. I even dream of it! Oh, and I'm dating Draco Malfoy, I have my very own Hogwarts uniform (Ravenclaw, of course) and a custom wand from Olivanders :) (Oh no, I did it again. Need. To. Stop. Fangirlying is evil!) (The Ravenclaw uniform-thing is true, though. I'm a proud bookworm with a 'ready mind' ^^)

No, seriously, any other Harry Potter addicts around here? I like the series nearly as much as Narakari and that means a lot, coming from me and have read it in 3 different languages already (German, English, French (highest difficulty-level ever)). Any other People who've got "a natural talent for languages" (quote: my teachers) and read books in languages other than their native one? What are your favourite books/movies, anyway? I won't say I still enjoy watching 'The Last Unicorn' even though I'm nearly an adult, no I won't... (Let's start small-talking, at least until it gets more busy around here (I hate silence more than everything else) ^^)

I was a huge Harry Potter nerd when I was younger, but I have to admit, I've kind of grown out of it. There are just books and "universes" that are more appealing to me now.

My native language is German, so I think the most books I read and which I own are in that language. But I have a growing collection of English books and graphic novels as I am trying to read most things in their original version. Right now I have here in my room: The Kingkiller Chronicles by Rothfuss (which are my favourite books!), the first four Game of Thrones books, A Redtails Dream and The Phoenix Requiem (both graphic novels), "Griffin and Sabine" and their two sequels, all three Hunger Games-books, some small novels from video games (mostly Dragon Age) and a whole bunch of classics like Dorian Grey, Shakespear, Alice in Wonderland and such things. I read some French as well, but only for university, and quite a lot of Latin for school and university which I enjoy a lot. It's such a wonderful language! If I manage to finish French this semester I'll most likely start with Ancient Greek next.

My favourite books are the Kingkiller Chronicles mentioned above and several German fantasy series. But I think they never made it into the big international bookmarket, I think, so I doubt anyone will know them ;)

(If this is considered spam, I will stop right away. Not sure how far th rules go here...)

Oh, and all my Narakaris are now up in my second archive and open for breeding! Well, beside Guntram, he's just a foal ;)

My native language is German as well ^^ And Latin is a great language, I want to learn it some day. (As well as Japanese <3) Are there any books or texts in Latin I could try to read? Some very smple stuff I can translate on my own? :)
I also like reading mangas in different languages, the pictures make it a lot easier to understand the stories :)
The Kingkiller Chronicles sound interesting, I'll think about reading them :)

(I don't really know if it's spam either. If it is, I will of course stop mentioning this kind of stuff ^^)

I am a FREAKIN MAHOOSIVE HP fan! Aaarrrggghhh I actually went to The Making Of Harry Potter in London (I live in the UK) and it was a. Ma. Zing. They had the door of the Chamber of secrets, and they had BUCKBEAK! I walked down Diagon Alley and there were Death Eater statues. But they turned out to be real, really creepy, magic weird vanishing and reappearing people who randomly popped up behind you with their wand at your throat.
Aaaanywaaay, what are the baby lines like?

Don't panic! ;) I'll stop you if this is getting too spammy. But I think a good connection between the owners is worth the shot off topic discussion. ;)

As they were made for the Dream-Foal event only, they're no longer available, sorry.
(And honestly I don't find them at the moment, but they weren't that beautiful... No worries about them.)

Man, I'm so jealous, why can't I live in England and go to amazing stuff like that <3 Buckbeak (for everyone who doesn't know what it is (yet or just isn't good with names), it's a Hippogriff that's important for the storyline of 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban', in German he's called 'Seidenschnabel', by the way) so great and the other stuff you just mentioned sounds awesome as well <3
I often read Harry Potter fanfictions and stuff, I made myself a list with everything that's nice to read <3 (I even have some of it on my ebook reader, I can't live without my favourite stories while camping in the middle of nowhere ^^)

There's an actual King's Cross Station in London, isn't it? With an actual platform 9¾? My best friend once visited London and made a photo of herself walking through it, amazing stuff if you ask me <3 (I also love the Hogwarts Express (the steam engine that brings you to Hogwarts, you know), it's so old-fashioned but still, it Looks much better than the Trains we currently have, they are all so modern and boring ^^)

Aaand back to normal topics (whether it is spam or not (and it's not, thanks Yama), we might want to keep it a bit more on-topic), I found the foal lines (or at least a coloured-in version of it), for those who want to see it:
Image
This one is Lizzy12's Narakari, I don't know what it's name is, but isn't it awesome? :) And no matter what you say, Yama, the lines are amazing :3

I still have them saved on my harddrive. Can send them over if you'd like.

Well, Latin is a bit more complicated than normal languages, mostly because it is "dead" and what we have left are books and letter of rather high standart - partly because writing things down was pretty expensive back then and only a small amount of people was able to read and write anyways.
There are modern books written in Latin, though. Most famous are the Latin versions of Asterix-comics in Latin. Short sentences, often self-explaining and some hard vocabs are often explained at the bottom of the page. May sound a bit childish but it really helps you to get reading it. Otherwise, there are some children's books in modern Latin translations, like "Regulus" the Latin version of "Le petit prince". There is even a Latin version of Harry Potter but I'd say you'll need to be really, really good to read it down like a normal book.
I've mostly "read" classics like Caesar, Seneca, Augustinus and the likes. But by reading I mean "had to translate". After a while you'll be able to scim a text and know more or less what it is about. Fluently reading this langauge - well, I think only my profs at Uni can do that!

Sounds nice, I'll think about buying some of the Asterix comics, maybe they will help me with getting accustomed to the general system behind Latin :)
What makes Latin so hard to read fluently, anyway? I mean, there are just as many vocabularies to learn as there are in other languages, right? Like, would learning Latin be more difficult than learning French, and why? :) (After 3 years of learning it at school, I could already read semi-difficult French texts and translate them at the same time, saying the translation out loud (By now I can't anymore, but a few months ago when I was still able to learn it properly (at my level of skill) it worked perfectly). Wouldn't that be possible for Latin learners who have learned their language for the same amount of time?)

Thank you, but that's not necessary. I'm pretty sure I have it somewhere. ;)
