A smile crossed her face, a playful look in her eye. Springing forward she jumped out past the tom, her body gliding past him as she swam circles around him. "Of course" She said as she passed him.

Hollowflight smiled, Troutstream was so much fun! She was never telling him to grow up or quit it like other cats. He purred and splashed under the water, coming up under Troutstream and pushing her up.

A smile crossed her lips as she came back up. "That was great" She purred, swimming up next to him. Her eyes glowing.

Hollowflight grinned back at her as he swam suddenly he saw a dark shape being Troutstream."Troutstream! Move!" he cried, the shape was a pike that had somehow come down the river, they did occasionally come down from the lake. This one was big, big enough to pull a cat under and it was sneaking upon them.

Looking at the tom with a question in her eyes, she turned. Seeing the huge fish the question in her eyes changed to fear. "We need to get out" She hissed softly. Backing up she quickly jumped her way back out.

Hollowflight swam forward and shoved Troutstream up the bank so the fish could not get her. He was jumping up himself when he felt a piercing pain in his back leg. Now he was being dragged back into the water, he clawed at the muddy bank, trying to hold on.

Seeing him get dragged back she jumped back to help him, clawing at the dark fish by the tom's leg. She continued to claw till the fish let her 'friend' go.

Hollowflight yowled in agony as the fish bit deeper, Troutstream;s claw hit it in the eye and the fish loosened it's grip. Hollowflight whipped around and sunk his front claws into it, "Bite it!" he gasped, trying to gold the thrashing fish.

Troutstream bit down hard on the fish, snapping its neck. As it floated to the surface she looked at Hollowflight, "Are you alright?" She asked, dragging the fish to shore.

Hollowflight tried to stand and let out a yowl, " N-no, my leg" he moaned. He had been going to tell Troutstream that he like her but what she-cat would go for a Tom like him? One who had nearly been kille by a fish!
