I growled in annoyance and teleported away. A knife as strong as diamond? What is this? Not leaving him any time to recover, I teleported behind him and swung my sword at his knife arm. At the same time I threw a fireball at him, hoping he'd only notice one or the other.

He disappeared and I turned to face him and turning to face him, I realized he was attacking me from two angles. It was a classic trick. I used the Saxe to block his sword and used the smaller knife to parry the fireball, though my gauntlets were a bit singed.

What in the Nether? This guy keeps guessing my strategy! I teleported behind some trees so that I could see him but he couldn't see me, planning a surprise attack for if he thought I had run away.

I looked around. Did he run away? I thought. I scanned the area, keeping my defense up. He would probably be back sooner or later. Maybe he went for backup. Either way, he was gone now. I ran over to the girl and knelt down. "Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Fine,"I groaned slightly, but I for the most part had regained my wind. My head felt like there was a knife in it, though. My sight was fuzzy and dark at the edges, but I had to help fight back. Slowly, I got my arms back under me and pushed myself up to a kneeling position. Keeping a tight hold on my rock, I stood shakily. Dang. Am I helpless or what? I thought crossly. I looked at him, then paused as I saw the hint of glowing white in the trees. Like his eyes. He was sneaky, I would give him that. I don't think so, buddy, I snarled mentally, hurling my stone at his head.

I smiled. Yes. He thinks I've gone... but I've only got one shot at this. I was about to teleport, but... Oh, creepers. She saw me. I teleported anyway to behind the archer, swinging the hilt of my sword at his head.

I turned to look where she had thrown the rock and felt something slam into my head, knocking me to the ground. I groaned and turned to face him, wielding my two knives.

I smiled, seeing him fall. Nearly got them. I teleported crazily to random places around them both, slashing my sword.

I shrieked when the sword's blade sliced my cheek, sending blood spilling down my cheek. Then there was a cut in my arm, my leg, my shoulder... I was beginning to get a cold dread in my stomach. I was right. We were screwed since the beginning, I thought. Then there was a particularly hard strike in my back, and once again I was back on my knees, stunned. "I hate this island," I hissed tightly.
