Trace walked out of his room and unexpectedly slipped off his shirt. He went to the counter and grabbed a clean shirt, putting it on. He then slipped some golden coins into his pocket.

I lightly blushed and rubbed the tip of my nose with my index finger's knuckle. Then I walked into the kitchen. "Ready?" I was wearing the shorts he had gotten me and a regular blue t-shirt. With flip flops.

Trace nodded, smiling. "Yes ma'am." He looked at my knee. "Do you need your crutches?"

I looked at my knee that I had failed to wrap again. It was a little swollen but... "Nah. It'll be fine." I shrugged softly, and then I smiled.

Trace nodded. "Okay." He smiled at me and led me out the door, grabbing a sword and his shotgun, then he slipped a license into his pocket and shut the door behind us.

"Thank you for letting me come, Trace." I smiled. Softly. When we got to town I saw someone all too familiar. I lightly bit my bottom lip as I gravitated just a touch closer to Trace.
And... He saw me. I know he did. He glanced at me. Great. But... He didn't move towards me. I was lucky. Was it because Trace was with me...? Hm.

Trace held me a bit closer. "Giche. Is he a problem for you, Trish?" He asked.

"No... Well, kinda. Hopefully not anymore. . . It was only once. . ." Yesterday.

"Don't worry about it, okay?" He slipped a dagger into my hand. "Anyone messes with you just stab them right below the center of their necks, okay? And make sure the dagger is horizontal, okay?"

I nodded. I knew how to use the dagger. I had already seen a few people I had short run-ins with so far, but 'Giche' was the biggest one. What a weird name. . .
