Oekaki/Java problems & solutions

Hi, I have a question:

I want to download the Jtablet plugin, but my Mac won't allow me to. Each time, somethinag pops up that says that it can't be opened, since my security preferences won't allow it. (apparently, I can only install apps from the Mac App Store, and identified developers.)


I can't seem to figure it out.

Go to system preferences

Click Security and privacy

On the bottom left hand corner there is a lock symbol. Click it and put in your password.

Now go to the general tab and look towards the bottom

It should say "allow applications to download from:"

click the circle that says "anywhere"

That should fix it! c:

The oekaki was working just fine for me last night, but now it's giving me the grey screen again?

Oekaki is refusing to save this thing I am working on, however it is not completely frozen, just the save function.
Both this save button and the other do nothing when I click them. In fact, they both have the animation of being in the middle OF being clicked. Ctrl+S is also doing nothing. Yet I can still click anything else and have it work. Literally everything is fine except the save function. I know that I could just screen shot and make a cover, but I really don't want to do that and lose all the layer information that I have.

Oh, and the saving pop-up hasn't come up. It did when I was saving earlier, in the same session I am in now, but then this issue just started out of no where. I just went through and cleared my cache and cookies to see if that would fix it, and it has not changed.

Anytime I click the save button again, the oekaki lags my mouse for a minute or so, but then just goes back to normal.

I've left it open for 10 minutes+ now to see if it just needs time to load and nothing has changed.

Is there anything I can do to get the save to work?

Okay, so my problem is solved, and here is how I did it for anyone else whom it might occur to:
I opened another oekaki without closing the first and the pop-up that asks if it is okay to run the oekaki came up again. I clicked yes, saved that new oekaki, then went back to the other and clicked save again.
It didn't work for 10 minutes and actually only saved while I was talking to someone on skype, but it did finally pop up and save eventually.

I believe that what had occurred was my computer had stopped allowing the oekaki to connect to the server or something and I needed to make it allow the oekaki to work again.

For me, the layer box, color box, and the box were you do the size of the brush and such are gone. i treyd updating java again, but still. Its not working. It was working fine this morning, but then it just stoped. Could someone tell me whats going on? Oh and im on firefox.

I tryed that it said it was there. I tryed un-marking it then putting it back, it didn't work. I tryed to log out and log back in. I also tryed getting java again to see if there was a problem with it. None of my friends seem to have a problem with this. Idk if its a problem with my computer because everything else seems just fine.

Could it be that your canvas is just too small? Are you working with Chibipaint v2.0? You can check it here:

Also try using the full screen. View > floating mode.

Oh, that was probably the problem. I'll switch that. I'll try it once I'm on the computer. I'm on mobile right now. Thanks!

The loading screen (java one) shows up with the loading animation, but it isn't loading properly! Help?

I'm having a strange problem with Oekaki since yesterday afternoon, can anyone perhaps help me?

At first since yesterday, it would be on the loading screen saying "starting", but it would never go past that no matter how long I waited. It wasn't frozen, I could scroll up and down just fine and such. Not sure if it was Oekaki or my own computer screwing up, but every time I tried it did the same thing, on both google chrome and firefox.

But today, the loading screen won't even load, it'll just say error click for details, but when I click it nothing shows up.

Is this happening with other people? Or is it a problem with just my laptop? I updated java the night before last and Oekaki was working just fine until yesterday afternoon.
