The other day, Liz stooped down to say hi to Loli and Loli actually willingly walked up to her and sniffed her hand. Then Liz tried to pet her so Loli disengaged, looked to me for support then went to drink some water.
Then today, Loli actually walked up to Liz and sniffed her while she was standing. Then allowed Liz to pet her head. <3 Granted it was like 30 seconds after getting home from a walk so she was tired and hot but still.
I swear this is the quickest that Lolita has EVER been just okay with someone. It usually takes weeks of just being around them constantly before she's willing to allow them to even touch her or to stop barking at them when they're standing/moving and Loli only just met Liz on Thursday. I mean, she hasn't even seen Liz every single day.
I swear, if I'd known what I was doing back then, Loli would be a different dog. I still think she'd be fear aggressive but she'd be way better then she is now.

Ella Bear, believe it or not when someone asks a question about something it's not always to be mean to them. In fact the entire reason I asked is because I know spaniel coats can sometimes be hard to keep up on. How do I know this? Because a whole half of my family has had spaniels since the dawn of time. I figured asking and getting to the bottom of why her coat sometimes looks scraggley would help Fuzzy contain it easier in the long run. This isn't about whether Fuzzy loves her dog, it's about I asked why and Fuzzy said she wasn't sure so I'm trying to help her figure that out to prevent it from happening in the future.
And, sorry, but if you don't have time to brush out a high groom breed, you shouldn't have gotten a high groom breed. Papillon coats can mat and tangle just like any long coat (and same with maltese and poodles...) so it's really important to keep on top of their coat health. If you can't do that, why get one in the first place? You make time for your animal's needs or you don't get that animal. Period.
I wasn't trying to make that sound rude or mean at all, I am sorry if it came across that way. I was just letting you know that Fuzzy does take care of her dog because some of the questions you were asking her, it seemed like you didn't believe her or something. Like I said before I honestly don't want to start anything and I didn't mean to at all.
Plus my dogs coats are cared for, no we don't brush them every single day but we brush them frequently, bath them once a week and then we get them groomed ( shaved and all that) like once a month to once every two months. All that I was saying was that some people don't have time to brush their dogs every day but it doesn't mean that is the sole problem behind the coat. Some dogs are just different. But yeah, I never meant to say anything to upset you, I was just putting that out there.

I need some good vibes/thoughts/prayers right about now.
My future housemate’s dog is down due to an obstruction that just won’t go away. He threw up part of it but looks like there’s a second one farther down than the first. He is being prepped for surgery as I type.
As anyone with a dog knows, obstruction surgeries are risky and involve long recovery times. Not only is it very possible that she’ll lose her boy over this but it’s late enough in the game with my move that it will probably delay me or affect my plans somehow. I’m supposed to be making the trip down there on Friday, after all.
Please guys, we need a miracle right about now.

So 2 out of three of my dogs got their fur cut and now the one that still has his fur seems so miserable. Today, though, its cooler outside, so hes warm while the other to are shivering..

Fingers and paws crossed over here that he'll go through the surgery without any difficulties. What type of toy was it? Rubber, plastic, soft fabrics, etc? Lyra has eaten so much crap in the past few months I'm surprised she's getting away with it so easily.
Poor dog, it must be so stressful for both, the owner, and the animal. :c
