The tabby tom gave a purr of pleasure. "That's great! Did you just learn that?" He padded over but stayed on the outskirts of the training area, as not to get in their way. "You wouldn't mind if I watched you, would you? I'm always interested to see what I can learn," Sparrowcatcher mewed, his whiskers twitching.

Volantstar was a thicker cat, muscle it was, she would do fine on other cats she was just a little bigger. Volantstar pulled from underneath her Apprentice, curious to the voice and looked with her amber eyes to see Sparrowcatcher. "Good to see you here..." she looked him over. "Oh, yes, do you uhm, want to try with Vividpaw?" Volantstar offered to him.

"Eheh..." Sparrowcatcher's mouth curved into a nervous smile. "Sure, I suppose. I don't see any harm in it." He approached, his tail hovering over the ground. He came to a rest by Vividpaw, and glanced at the young apprentice. "How does this go?"

Vividpaw purred in delieght and got ready to attack Sparrowcatcher. "I pin you down and try o keep you down and you try to get me off," Vividpaw explained. She crouched, about to leap at him. "Ready?" she asked with a wave of her tail.

Volantstar took a few steps back, letting herself sit at the edge of the Training Hollow and watching the two, she imagined she should give the tom an Apprentice soon, he needed one.

Sparrowcatcher nodded, then lowered himself to the ground and spun onto his back to allow the she-cat to pounce at him. He didn't imagine she could hold him down, but who knew? He mewed, "Ready!" With a wave of his tail.

Vividpaw launched as the warrior signalled he was ready. She didn't know if she could really keep him down but either way it was good practice. She held her small paws firmly on his shoulders with her tail held high.

Sparrowcatcher felt her paws firmly gripped, but knew he still had use of the lower down regions. He bucked his hips upwards and then, when he felt he was highest, jolted sharply to the right in an attempt to throw the small cat off.

Vividpaw tried to hang on and shift her weight down but her body ended up going to the side. Her paws followed as she hit the dirt ground. She got back up and rather then being disapointed over her failure to keep Sparrowcatcher pinned, she was happy. "Wow, you're good at that! I almost had you though!" she meowed in excitement.

Sparrowcatcher grinned as he got up and dusted himself off. "Thanks," he purred. "You almost did. That was a pretty neat pin back there, anyway." He shook his head and a clump of troublesome dirt from his ear was flicked away.
