Shawn started walking at a steady pace. He had a light backpack on his shoulders. Inside it was his mid-day meal and water. He glanced around him with a smile. It was a great day for a hike. He loved the earthy atmosphere: It was comforting. His iPod was in his ears and the Beatles "Yellow Submarine" was blasting through the speakers, droning out any other sounds.
He took in a deep breath, feeling the air hit his lungs. He smiled widely. Maybe he could come here more often. He hummed to the tune quietly and continued walking at the same pace. He flailed his arms to stretch the muscles. The joints cracked in response.
Shawn looked up at the blue sky for a few seconds, before tripping over a branch. He landed on the ground with a thud. After shaking himself off, he stood. He checked to make sure nothing was broken. Shawn bit his lip.

OOC: It's a backpacking trip, seven days ^^ it's going to have a lot more than just some water and a lunch, probably 60ish pounds c: Just so you know.
Haylee lifted her head, shifting her weight from her left hip to her right. She was scanning the rest of her group with silent eyes, it was almost as if she was picking out the ones who would make it through the trip with ease. Her, herself had been hiking since she was eight or so, living in the nearing town and such. She hadn't really been expecting to do this trip, but it was her only excuse to stay a few more months in a place like this. The curly haired burnette had brought her I-touch, even though she knew the guide had told them no electronics. But he wasn't very good at keeping his rules in order, as she noticed another guy-maybe a bit younger than her. . . by a couple months-with his headphones in his ears.
Haylee rolled her eyes lightly, a gentle smile on her face. The pack was heavy to her, and her hips were in distress under it's weight, luckily she was a girl. Wider hips equaled more weight on them, which in all equaled less weight on the shoulders. And the first thing she had learned was never put all the weight on your shoulders. Haylee graoned slightly, rubbing the straps, and looked back at the guy who had his headphones in.
She started to pace herself behind him, not really paying attention to Shawn, was it? But she quickly realized she needed to lokk up, as she almost ran in to the guy, when he tripped.
Haylee knelt down next to him, with a frown on her face, ready to help him up as needed. "Hey you ok?" She questioned towards Shawn.
[ oh you were a phonograph, I was a kid
I sat with an ear close, just listening
was there when the rain tapped her way down your face
you were a miracle and I was just holding your space ]

(Oh, haha. Thank you for that.)
Shawn stood up. "Thanks, yeah." He brushed himself off to remove any dirt, then shook his head out. He glanced down at himself. His jeans were ripped at the knee, but, other than that, he was fine. He shifted the heavy backpack on his shoulders. He took out his headphones and placed them in his pocket.
He stretched his arms as he walked. Shawn rubbed his eyes, realizing how tired he really was. It was either the hike or his backpack. Maybe both. He'd definately need to get some rest later. Shawn looked around, slightly bored. He dragged his feet to keep himself moving.

Tamesis Daniel Williams
Looking down at the map in his hands, he sighed. Brow furrowed, he was more concentrated on making sure that they were going the right direction instead of where he was walking. After shouldering a tree, he tucked the map into the side pocket of his rucksack and quickly checked over his shoulder to see if the others were still behind him. Looking back to the trail, he thought about the last time he had been camping. It had been his Gold Duke of Edinbourough Award which he had flown back to England to take part in. He chuckled to himself, remembering the fiascos, laughs and blisters from the five day outing which involved walking 90 kilometres with half of ones weight on their back. Although it was tough, the award was definatly worth the countless blisters on his and his teams feet. Still chuckling, he thought of where they were meant to camp that night, and thought wistfully of the 'boil in the bag' pasta and the carbonara sauce he had packed with him. For hiking, it was all about weight. The heavier, the harder the trip will be, and the more pain you will get from your shoulders, waist and feet. He had been rather picky when packing his rucksack, making sure that the tranjea, tent, sleeping bag and mat were all distributed within the group so that one poor person wouldn't be left carrying one whole tent along with the poles. Shifting the weight on his shoulders so he was more comfortable, he rubbed his chin, the small stubble catching on his fingers, and thought of the supplies he had brought, and whether he had brought enough.
Morgan Eva Williams
Silent as ever, Morgan trudged along at the back of the group. Her feet were sore, bur she didn't raise a fuss. She hadn't even told Tamesis that her backpack was slightly too heavy for her, however she wasn't one to complain. Looking over her shoulder, she looked back at the path they had just trodden. Almost instinctively, she started to try an work out how many people and how long it would take to wear down a path enough for it to be used by ramblers. She shook her head after a few minutes, frustrated with herself. Stuffing her hands in her pockets, she looked down at her feet as she walked, her long dark brown hair falling around her face. After a few minutes, she sighed, and undid the waist strap of her rucksack. Her hips were sore, and upon lifting her top ever so slightly, she could see red marks on the usually tanned smooth skin. Replacing the fabric, she too thought of the campsite Tamesis had picked for them. She trusted him with her life, however occasionally she felt sorry for him. She knew that he tried so hard with her, but because she is, and always has been, stubborn, she had always refused to listen to his advice. His voice ringing in the back of her head about her eventually becoming a mute due to how little she talks actually really worries her. Terrified of talking, and scared not to, she was stuck in a downward spiral.
