Restless, Jackdawpaw escaped the apprentice
den to try and calm down. He didn't hear the
cat that came up behind him and quickly
snapped the poor apprentice's neck.

Fernshade woke up with a soft screech. She'd had nightmares all night. Yawning and shaking out her fur, Fernshade turned to the herbs she had., gazing sadly. "I wish there were herbs to protect cats from getting murdered...or at least bring them back from the dead. ThunderClan has lost too much." With a sigh, Fernshade laid down at the outside of her den, watching the camp slowly wake.

Sundapple slid out of the warrior's den with a yawn, stretching her legs. She still hadn't slept easily that night, as much as she tried to believe they exiled the right cat. Plus she was on the dawn patrol today, and the added responsibility made her a little grumpy. She nodded a greeting to Fernshade, who didn't seem to have slept nicely either. She sat down to wait for the other cats. Once the dawn patrol was assembled, she noticed that one of the apprentices on the patrol was missing. "Hey..Where's Jackdawpaw? Still asleep?" She blinked her still droopy eyes, fighting to stay awake.
