when pride accepted the appaloosa into the herd, gold nudged her happily and moved back, deeper into the valley where the snow and wind wouldn't bother them as much. gold stayed right by cerberus' side, sharing his warmth with the mare. the stallion whickered softly to pride in thanks and dropped his head to graze. the grass was soggy and half covered in a thin layer of snow, but it was as good as it was going to get, so he would have to deal with it.

spirit watched calmly as his new mare dropped her head to pick at the little good grass there was. his eyelids grew heavy as he pressed his golden-coloured body against both of his mares, nickering a thanks to winter as she began grooming his back. the stallion moved his neck to winter, returning the favour.

ricochet pressed her poll onto frost's cheek, letting her forelock drape over his head. she could tell he was still tense; she could feel his muscles under his roan pelt. the paint mare lipped his neck, trying to calm him. she eventually moved away, grazing on the tasteless grass.

cloud closed her eyes in content as the stallion continued to groom her, making her coat feel clean and shiny. she moved into a slow trot as her new stallion indicated for her to join the herd, with a nip on her flank. the dapple grey pricked her ears at the other mares in the herd, feeling a high whinny bubble at her maw. she let it out, calling a friendly call to her new herd mates.

arrow stood alone in a small valley, where the autumn winds barely reached her. she twitched her muscles, ears pricked as she listened for the call of a stallion. she was in search of a herd, even with no heat scent; the mare knew that winter was upon her, and the last thing she wanted was to be alone during it. the skewbald lifted her head high into the air, closing her eyes as she felt a neigh erupt in her chest, spilling out from her muzzle and into the valley.

Mew stood tall and straight like a soldier whilst Tidal gave the orders, “Yes sir!” Though there was always that hint of playfulness between Mew and Tidal the black mare took these orders very seriously. She knew that choosing the right location was important – especially when they had two foals in tow. This herd was Mew’s world and she was determined to find the perfect place for them - and if she put her head together with Faith’s she knew they would find it. Mew turned to the bay mare as she spoke, flicking an ear at the sound of the boys cantering away. “What about the Valley?” she suggested, “I know the tree cover is a bit sparse but maybe if we go further it will get thicker..” She studied the mare's body language to see what she thought of this and added, “We wouldn’t be too close to the stream but also not so far that it would be a mission to get there”.

Their discussion about grazing grounds was interrupted when a familiar voice called to them. Mew grinned and nickered to the two ladies at her side excitedly, “They’re back!” Eevee added, equally if not more excited than her mother, “And they made a new friend!” Mew turned, her eyes shining with delight to see the two handsome, golden boys coming towards them with a dappled mare in tow. The new mare looked a little fatigued so, without having to wait for Geyser, Mew decided to go greet her so she wouldn't have to walk so far. “Let’s go say hello,” Mew suggested before trotting off to do just that.

“Welcome home!” the black mare called to the boys as she trotted towards them. She slowed down when she was close to the trio, ears flicking as her attention switched between them and Faith and Eevee who were sure to appear at her side any moment now. Eevee did so in a less flashy fashion than usual. If it wasn't for the fact that there was a new mare to be introduced to she would be bounding around her father and brother by now. “Welcome back Daddy, Sebastian,” the filly nickered. Mew brushed her face against the two boys' cheeks, giving Sebastian's forelock an affectionate nibble. She was proud of him and was sure he would blossom underneath Tidal's tuition. Mew then set her eyes upon the pretty dapple grey mare. “Hey, I'm Mew,” she smiled before gesturing to the bay mare and tri-coloured filly, “and this is Faith and my daughter, Eevee” Eevee bobbed her head when her name was said, ears pricked. Mew stretched out her neck to introduce herself properly, “What's your name?”

(Hey it's fine, Robin replied to Warrior and a group of bachelors attacked Pride and he was driven away. They are now going after Ace and has snaked his mares over to where Pride's old mares were and they are being watched over by Garry and Grim)

Pride grazed on whatever he could find, using his hoof to move the cold snow out of the way. His leg felt sore, but the mustang was starting to feel better. Even with his winter coat he felt a bit cold, but he had Cerberus and Gold with him now, he wasn't alone.

They had to find a good place for them to go two, especially with two foals. They wouldn't want their foals to get hurt or possibly killed, Faith hated the thought of that, but where would be a good place to go? Tidal wanted a more forested area, the bay mare knew where a forest was but didn't think they should go there, cougars lurked in the forest and it would be dangerous for Eevee and Sebastian. Mew spoke up, and Faith quickly snapped out if her thoughts to hear what the pretty black mare had to say. Seemed like they were thinking of the same thing, the valley would be a good place to go to, other horses would likely be there but she didn't think that they would bother them. "I was thinking the same thing, It should be a safe place for us to go to..." The bay mare started, she was about to add more but was cut off when she heard a familiar call. Looking to who it was, she saw Tidal with Sebastian, along with an unfamiliar mare. She smiled and gave a small nod to Mew before moving into a trot and following the mare and her daughter over to where the others were. Sebastian and Tidal were fine, and they brought someone with them. Faith nickered in greeting to the group, happy that everyone was here and began to slow, finally stopping once she reached them. When Mew nibbled on his forelock, Sebastian raised his head and nipped gently at the mare though stopped when she pulled away. The chestnut colt let out a soft snort and walked over to Faith, giving his mother an affectionate nuzzle before stopping beside her and looking curiously at the others. Faith returned the nuzzle, then looked over to the newest addition to their band. Right now she stayed quiet and watched, though when Mew was introducing them and stated her name, Faith gave the other mare a small hello.

jigoku inu liked the way cloud cuddled up to her and giggled quietly as she nipped his growing coat softly. she managed to dig up her own grazing spot and munched away happily but cerberus was not satisfied with the flavour. so instead, she resorted to one of her bad eating habits. shuffling over to a tree, she tore of the bark and chewed thoughtfully, deciding that she would eat this instead of the lifeless, cold grass. along with bark, cerberus also had a habit of eating mushrooms and leaves and the most common time that she returned to these habits was in winter. the mare didn't mind if her new companions found it strange or not, she definitely preferred it over the grass.

page's words slowly sunk into grim. perhaps he did give pan too much loyalty. but pan was yet to disrespect the amount of trust he had been given and for that, grim was thankful and would not change. before he could rush to his own defence, page admitted that if she would submit to being anyone's mare, it would be him. grim immediately became worried. she better not say that to pandemic or grim would be in trouble. pandemic did not like his mares favouring other bachelor members. while he was actually quite delighted she had said that, he hoped she would keep it to herself. as page moved away, grim knew their conversation was over.
grim looked to see that sun had joined them and he smiled as he felt her nip his cheek. the handsome dark grey stallion nuzzled her shoulder before lifting his head to see the new members of the herd arriving. whilst most seemed cooperative, the mare sparks looked distressed and upset. he guessed her as lead mare since she looked the same way page looked, dominant and rebellious. he decided he would go speak to her but not after he had dealt with the two fillies who still seemed to be plotting their escape. his ears perked at mystery's little tantrum. she was surely like her mother blue. instead of retorting like an immature stallion, he simply nipped her wither before looking at them both. by now, grim had learned their names. "astria, mystery, perhaps instead of running off you could go make new friends. see the new members? there are two other fillies in there. be aware that while i have no intention to hurt you both, my partner pandemic does. so running will only injure yourselves and make your mothers worry. instead, perhaps you can go comfort the pair of fillies who have just arrived." grim motioned towards asuna who had venus and olivia. with that done, he returned his attention to the more passive but equally articulate blue.
she was very curious in the way pandemic worked the bachelors and he was happy to explain, "mystery will most likely always remain in this herd with you unless leadership is changed or she is given to one of the other bachelors. otherwise she would have to be snaked away by a different bachelor. pandemic will choose what mare we get though i believe we do get to suggest mares. however, he secretly has his favourites and ultimately makes the choice. i believe both thunder and i will be getting one to watch over today since we have successfully raided two herds. as for atlas, i will do my best to protect him though there is only so much i can stop pan from doing." grim shot her a sympathetic look, "i do feel guilty for causing all this change and turmoil but us other stallions can't just remain bachelors forever. we have to make out move at some point." he then looked back in the direction of sparks, "excuse me blue but i have some more apologizing to do." he gave her a tentative nuzzle before heading over towards the depressed looking sparks. he nickered in praise to garry then looked to the mare again "this hasn't been the best day for you has it?" he said lightly.

pandemic anticipated the move and jolted his body away but ace still managed to catch a bit of his skin, creating a small wound. the chestnut stallion had lost patience and now that ace's herd had been taken away, he wanted to end this fight quickly. spinning around, he reared up and sent his hooves slicing down towards ace's head, hoping to end this and return to his herd. thunder had returned though it looked as though pandemic was going to win this fight so really, the other stallion was just there in case he needed any extra help.

Swishing his tail as he trotted behind Cloud, he allowed the mare to go forth and greet her new herd mates. Nipping Sebastian between the ears in praise, he then glanced to see Mew and his daughter bounding over with Faith trailing them. He let out a low rumbling noise at her touch, shutting his eyes for a moment. He then went to stand by Faith, grooming her mane, "My name is Tidal." He also introduced himself, "And this is my son Sebastian." With that said, he flicked his ears back to Faith, "Have we found a place to move to?" The multicoloured stallion glanced to Eevee who seemed to be laying back on her normally explosive attitude. Perhaps it was to show some manners to this mare. Either way, Tidal didn't mind and gave her an affectionate look of praise while he waited for an answer.

(Yeah I don't like winter either, I wanted to keep it short so I planned on changing it on Saturday but I can change it to spring earlier if you guys want me to c:)

Dream had slowed slightly, but the friesian mix kept going. Lucy was growing tired, she wasn't used to running like this. Dream made sure to keep her daughter close, occasionally gently nudging the filly forward. She had an ear flicked towards the two stallions but did not look back at them and focused more on her daughter.

Noticing Cerberus move, Pride paused and raised his head slightly, watching as the mare moved over to a tree and began to eat the bark. He found it a bit odd, but didn't say or do anything about it. The mustang stallion instead took a step closer to Gold and went back to eating, his tail flicking occasionally.

Garry pricked his ears when Grim nickered to him, and praised him! Meanwhile, Asuna was standing quietly, merely watching the others. Olivia was a shy filly so all of these unfamiliar horses now around made her nervous. Venus stood by her dam and sibling, though she was not scared she was wary of the horses around her.

Thunder cantered through the snow, his black coat stood out against the white. He hoped that he would receive a reward once this was all over, he and Garry had managed to bring Ace's herd over to where Grim was, though it was Thunder who did most of the work as Garry didn't help out too much. The stallion was coming closer to where Pandemic and Ace were, but Pan seemed to be doing fine so he slowed to a trot. He would stay back and watch for now, but if Pan needed help he would rush in and attack.

Faith stood, waiting patiently for the new mare to introduce herself. She noticed Tidal come and stand by her side, she gave him a small nudge with her nose before briefly grooming the stallion and stopping once Tidal began to speak. Hearing his name, Sebastian flicked his ear but the chestnut colt stayed beside his mother. When Tidal asked if they had found a place that they could move to, Faith looked to him. "We are thinking of going to valley, there should be some coverage as well as a stream for us to drink from there. It's normally rather safe there so I think it would be a good place for us to go."

A small drop of blood trickled from where the stallion's teeth had broken his skin, but it wasn't serious- it just aggravated him further. He snorted and lunged at the stallion, kicking him. He gently nudged Dream further on, trying to run slowly enough for Lucy, but still not let them be caught by Warrior.

Astria glanced at the other fillies for a moment. Neither of them were Breeze and they didn't look inclined to go play with her and Mystery. Venus didn't look as scared as Olivia but they both stood beside their dam. And Astria didn't exactly want to greet them. When Grim turned to Blu, Astria looked at Mystery. "If Pan really does want to hurt us, we shouldn't give him a chance to." She whispered to her. "We should leave before he gets back." Astria glanced at Bella, unwilling to leave her. And in truth, if the other fillies came over and didn't want to leave or someone spoke to them about leaving again, the pinto filly would forget the idea of leaving.

Sparks felt the anger bubble up from deep down as another bachelor approched the already ticked mare. Her right eye blazed a bright blue and her left one turned a cold brown. The sabino bared her teeth harshly, warning him not to come closer. Though, with a tired sigh, she dropped the act. She still held her tail up in a show of leadership as a lead mare, but in the end, she submitted to the stallion. Her two toned eyes sparkled in the light as she stared into the studs brown ones.

" I'm afraid so.. " nickered the mare. With another sigh she dropped her head down and used her muzzle to shift through the snow. Sparks glanced at the big stallion again, wondering who he was. " Who are you, stud? I have seen the bachelors quite often and have never spotted you. And trust me, I know those little pest more then you could imagine. I-I am....nevermind " the speech had started out clear, but as she got into more detail, the mare regretted her words and went back to shifting through the snow, waiting for a response.
