Official Name;; Cheruvius Vulpes
Common Name;; Cherry Bee Pup
Average Weight;; 15-25 lbs
Average Height;; 40-55 cm
Cherry Bee Pups, lesser known as 'Cheruvius Vulpes' is actually a species of fox. Their common name comes from the iconic puppy-like look of these foxes' wide eyes, and the high squeaking noises they produce to communicate. It's obvious as to why they're named after cherries and bees, considering they grow cherries near their tail from the moment they are born, and they always seem to have one specific, large bee following them. The bee is an endangered species of honey bee. They find a new litter of pups, then pick one and stay with it for life. It's a mutual relationship; the bee pollinates the cherries of the pup and keeps it healthy, while in return the bee gains both protection and pollen to bring back to its hive to convert into honey. The bond between the pup and bee is extremely strong, and if one dies the other will die along with it.
Diet;; omnivore
Favourite Food;; Cherries
Least Favourite Food;; Raw meat
Time of Activity;; Diurnal
Despite being omnivorous, Cherry Bee Pups do whatever they can to avoid meat. Meat is only a last resort meal. The only meat they willingly consume is that of insects like dragonflies and moths. Once every spring the pups' cherries will be at their ripest, and will fall of once ready. When this happens the pups gather and have a feast of their cherries. In a clan, the most dominant male or female has the healthiest, juiciest and ripest berries.
Climate;; temperate to humid
Region[s];; Northern Australian Forests, Madagascar, Northern South America, Central America
Biome;; Dense forests with moderate rain and temperatures, plenty of vegetation.
Although they prefer to live in tightly knit clans or families, some Cherry Bee Pups choose to live in solitude with their bee. The survive storms and hide from predators, pups dig dens or burrows to sleep in at night. During winter, their coats grow thicker underneath and they cuddle together in one large burrow. This is when most loners fail to survive. During this time, it is vital for the young of clans or families to stay in the warmth of an older member.
✽ ⚘ ❁ ✾ ❀ How can I adopt one? ❀ ✾ ❁ ⚘ ✽
This will actually vary depending upon the artist who is selling, auctioning, raffling, etc. the pup. You might have to make the best form, you might have to make the best bid, you might have to simply post first. Remember, if you don't win the first pup you try for, don't give up! There will plenty more opportunities to try for one, and you're not alone in your struggle.
✽ ⚘ ❁ ✾ ❀ What are the rules? ❀ ✾ ❁ ⚘ ✽
- ❁ No more than four pups per user. Unless you are an artist, and you adopt four then use your free custom. Don't try to bribe me or any of the artists.
- ❁ Bribing for a better chance of winning will result in a suspension the first time, and a ban with your pups taken from you and put up for re-adoption the second time.
- ❁ Don't whine or harass the artists if you don't win the pup you wanted; it's both rude and puts even more stress on us than there needs to be.
- ❁ Never, ever, ever claim that your pup was made by you, unless you are the artist. They belong to me, and the design belongs to whomever coloured it. I worked very hard to create these, so you can imagine how much it hurts to see someone stealing my well earned prize.
- ❁ Cherry Bee Pups need love and attention, so don't adopt one and let it collect dust.
