Be aware that when I said that I meant a theme of mine. Some people were talking about these foals being scaly dragons when I had already made dragon themed horses a while ago. Repeating a theme for the same species doesn't interest me.

Now, I have nothing against repeating themes that were covered for other species. Thereto have been dragon dogs and rats before and yet I made a dragon horse litter, just like there have been spectacled bear dogs and yet I made a pony litter of the same theme some time ago.

Your post from when it grew doesn't make me think geodes, though. More of some type of sentinal type statue or maybe gargoyles...or maybe Weeping Angels. Their looks don't really make me think geode, either. But, of course, I could be wrong. If they're statuesque at all, though, I don't think I could think of them as anything but Weeping Angels...can't really blink around any statue, you know? xD Too bad we missed it because the detail put into them is very impressive and I can tell that a lot of time and effort were invested when making them, no matter what they are. |D so thank you for the gorgeous, detailed foals. :3

Wow, June's pets are all so adorable, and I can't wait to watch
them grow up! I'm especially excited for the 'scaly' foals, the
fruit kittens, the ratties and the pups with the pale blue blanket.
Yet again, we have such lovely newborns! ♥

This pony is really cute, too! I totally was not expecting
such a lovely red colouring, as the newborn is blue. I
can't wait to see what else this litter may bring. ouo

Unfortunately I've missed out on today's 'scaly' foal, but
I'm really excited about that litter! The second stage isn't
really revealing much so far... Those purple eyes are
stunning, though. ♥

Your post from when it grew doesn't make me think geodes, though. More of some type of sentinal type statue or maybe gargoyles...or maybe Weeping Angels. Their looks don't really make me think geode, either. But, of course, I could be wrong. Hehe, just keep in mind that I do love to play mind tricks, so it's not wise to take my words regarding the foals' guardianship too literally.

There's more on these foals than meets the eye, there's a complex story thought up behind their looks that doesn't necessarily match their appearance as a whole. Drastic changes are gonna happen and for each guardian that rises, a fragment of their mission and story will be revealed.

... And I will just sit back here and watch your reactions, chuckling.

Well, then...I guess I'll just sit back and watch, too. Based on their looks right now, there's so many things they could possibly be. I was really hoping they would end up being scaly and be dinosaurs but that's ruled out now. xD And I still think fossils would be really cool but I'm doubting that, too. Maybe sometime in the future. :3

No matter what they are, I love that you've made up a whole story for them. Just shows even more how much time and effort you put into them. Did you perhaps get attached from how much you spent on them and decide to come up with the story or was the story in your head as you were making them? =o

A bit of both, actually. I just started working on this litter in a moment of boredom and then things got... More complex than I expected, and by the time I was working on the second outcome I had already got a story in mind for the litter. I grew super attached to these horses because working on this litter helped me develop my digital painting skills in ways I couldn't imagine, as you can see for the detailed look of the foals(I literally painted them pixel per pixel X'D).

When I zoomed in the scaly horse, my first guess was famine themed. I thought of the scales as dry land and the black color resembles death and the blue colour of the eyes as the only hope for the dry land, water..
I might be wrong but oh well :3
