I don't think it's a geode because we've already had dogs like that that started off as rock and then chipped away to show gems underneath.

I don't think it is that either, but this argument, hm... I don't see the reason behind it.
Just because it was used on dogs once doesn't mean it can't be used again a bit differently or on other species. ^^;

Be aware that when I said that I meant a theme of mine. Some people were talking about these foals being scaly dragons when I had already made dragon themed horses a while ago. Repeating a theme for the same species doesn't interest me.

Now, I have nothing against repeating themes that were covered for other species. There have been dragon dogs and rats before and yet I made a dragon horse litter, just like there have been spectacled bear dogs and yet I made a pony litter of the same theme some time ago.
