white walls. white hallways. white tiled floors. white lights that made him squint and grumble a mouthful of curses. what wasn't white in this damned place? why not black? Caspian had grown fond to the shade, the complete opposite of the maddening brightness he was forced to deal with all day. black was the night he was allowed to stroll around in on the Wednesday of every other week. black calmed his senses and allowed him to focus. and black, best of all, didn't burn his pupils and make the back of his eyeballs ache. but they'd made the School all white and irritating, and Caspian swore it was just to bug the hell out of the experiments, such as himself.
Caspian was a leopard hybrid. 2% laid back cat that enjoyed running it's claws down pompous Eraser's pretty faces. he owned a pair of white-tipped furry ears and a rosette dappled tail, which was currently lashing angrily. the teen stomped down the hallway, lips parted just enough to reveal those sharp pearly whites. he'd been ordered to fix the new experiment's door, being that these seemingly important specimens had been escaping lately. why couldn't the scientists fix the door themselves? these people were meshing human and animal DNA, but couldn't figure out how to secure a door hinge? this was ridiculous. worst of all, he'd been woken from his nap to fix the bloody thing. to top it, Casp had come to the conclusion that this wasn't just to put right a malfunctioning door, but to note the Avian's responses to a new hybrid being introduced to them. and if Caspian's head was detached by the female, he would blame the scientists.
He had heard rumors of the girl hybrid, who's name he couldn't recall. but she certainly seemed like someone he didn't want to meet. the leopard hybrid's sharp ears had picked up the sounds of screaming and thrashing earlier, and enough Erasers had come back from their jobs with claw marks crisscrossing their body that he was dreading coming face-to-face with this she-devil. She seemed to be the feistiest of the few. despite these given facts, Caspian couldn't say he wasn't interested in seeing these guys. he gathered up all the information he could from his fellow Eraser roommates. the leader was a boy as old as he was, who apparently wasn't in great emotional shape right now. the second-in-command was this girl, who wasn't only part bird, but part cat. this undoubtedly excited Caspian. meeting another cat hybrid would be quite an experience. there was a redhead boy and another girl, along with a little kid. this boy was especially close to the devil girl, and some erasers even suspected that she might be the mother of him. Caspian doubted that, she was too young, and he was too old. a motherly devil woman? the leopard boy's curiosity grew with each piece of information he thought through.
Caspian reached up and combed through his hair with his fingers, slowly untangling the locks in his hand. he'd reached the room. an unmemorable number was printed neatly on the top, not looking very special compared to the other doors. it surprised him, how much the scientists gave the impression they didn't care. they obviously tried to hide their own growing fascination with the new toys, like children waiting for Christmas. the little experiments had only just started. Casp almost pitied them.
"do I just walk in?" he sighed under his breath, looping his thumb through his belt loop and resting his weight on one leg, his posture lopsided. with an unconcerned shrug, he gripped the door handle and pushed against it until the hinges swung just enough for him to slip inside. Those dappled leopard ears swiveled forward to catch the sounds in the room, bright blue hues drifting upwards to gaze around the small space. his mouth gaped open a small bit as his eyes fell on the girl curled up in one of the beds. the first thing he noticed were the magnificent wings branching out from her back, a pattern of black and white that he could barely pry his attention off of. the white-haired avian appeared to be sleeping, but Caspian wasn't completely sure since she was facing away from him. He closed his dry mouth and cleared his throat, straightening a bit. "knock knock, birdies. I'm here to fix your door."

Her blue eyes were clouded, dazed as she rose slowly from her nest of mutilated bed sheets to peer at whomever had come in so unannounced. The voice that floated in on a cloud of rainbows was deep, soothing to her fuzzy black ears, and a pleasant transition from the harsh tones used to order her about. Biting her bottom lip gently to let a small fang show, the sleepy kitten tilted her head as she began processing the words that had just been uttered. And then it hit her, hard. Fix the door?! No! Awareness shone brightly in stormy depths and they slowly took in the oddities that had gone unnoticed previously. Cheetah? No, leopard. A mixture of instinct and fear of the only chance of escape being taken away drove her into action, and two heartbeats later she was taking advantage of his vulnerability. Growling low in her throat she had a dainty hand wrapped firmly around the pale column of the leopard boy's neck, well, her hand wasn't big enough to cover the entirety of his neck, so she dug her claws into supple flesh threateningly to make up for it. "Your purpose here is no longer. Leave, cat." Looking positively feral with bared teeth and lowered ears, she let her eyes bore into his, no longer letting curiosity get the better of her. Already she had made one mistake with Regulus, and she would not be fooled and manipulated a second time, or ever again. Alone in the room - with the exception of Alpha the kitten - as she was, it was only customary that she defend her territory, especially when there was an unfamiliar male threatening her home. Her painstakingly empty home. Where is everyone?!
A hiss of pain crept from her clenched teeth, and she realized then that her wounds had been reopened so soon after they'd began to scab over. In the hours that everyone had been missing the poor girl had been subject to numerous tests. Fighting off countless Erasers, pain tolerance, yeah, they'd done a number on her. Yet somehow, the will to fight was enough to strengthen her resolve and thus gave her the ability to ignore the rivulets of blood pouring from a deep laceration that spanned her stomach and soaked the thin white shirt she'd been given to wear. The soft pitter patter of dripping blood cut through the tense silence like a knife but she never did take her eyes off of the newcomer, even as she pressed a trembling hand to her wound to stanch the flow. "I should kill you," she remarked bitterly, knowing very well that her words no longer held weight. Injured as she was and exhausted as well, she couldn't put up much of a fight, but just as she had with those filthy mutts, she would try her hardest to stand tall. Not only for herself, but for her flock.

((Ugh... I haven't posted for Athena since April... So uh... Let's just say that she was forced to stay in a corner while Jinx 'donated' some blood for Hiro. And uh... Then she was drug back to the room with Jinx and decided to sit on her bed by the wall perpendicular to Jinx. So yea, she's just chilling sitting criss-cross on her bed and preening a few feathers to pass the time. Also, we do have wifi here but obviously the time change is significant... We're in Bail Indonesia! Woop woop! It's so humid! But awesome! I'll tell ya guys more bout it later. If water wing doesn't beet me too it! ^^ ))
Athena
Athena sat calmly on her bed in silence, letting Jinx recover from the latest trauma. But she knew that Jinx was strong and would be able to pull through it just as soon as Hiro was returned to the flock. So she had decided to stay silent for the time being. She had one wing cast out I front of her and curved in a way that she could clean and straighten the inside feathers. She couldn't sleep. Not with everyone still out of the room. Well besides Jinx, the kitten, and herself. She heard the door open and assumed it was Ren. Her wing was pulled in front of her so she couldn't see the door right away. But she heard a voice she didn't recognize before she could lower her wing. "Wha-?" But she was cut off by Jinx springing to action. She quickly put her wings in a more defensive pose and stood up ready to defend. Putting herself between Jinx & the intruder and the small kitten on the bed. She was ready to fight once again. This time with prettied up wings! Who was this intruder any who? He seemed to have cat features like Jinx but it looked like a different breed. Cheetah? Leopard? Jaguar? She didn't know her big cats all that well. It just wasn't a necessary skill to have.

{It's about time that I post... Ugh, after over a month of not writing, I've gotten a little rusty. You're stuck with this lousy thing, I'm afraid. Cheers.
And I'm at a total loss as to what I do with Carisa... Last post she was falling asleep with Damon. Time skip desired here? Up to you.}

Storm was doin his best not to show how embarrassed he was and stay calm, but the blush spreading on his face was beyond trying to hide. "No worries. I guess you could tag along and we could get you talking to Jinx again." what was he thinking?! Bringing Regi with him?! Sure trailing experiments around the school without being caught was easy, but just having Regi around with him right now, after that! It just seemed a little odd. Well the flock's room is right next door, so it would be quick and easy. "Yea. You could come along." quick and painless. Regi would be out of his tail in no time, literally.

Regulus at once rose from the plain, white-outfitted bed, lion paws crashing to the tiled floor with clicks and thuds in an awkward stumble that would hopefully go unnoticed by his visitor. Blood redistributing itself through his mutated body, the lion boy could have fallen to the ground in the intense headrush that followed standing up too quickly. However he was determined not to further make a fool of himself, casually placing a single hand on the mattress to support his body for a moment. That was definitely the key point to emphasize right now. Be casual. Hopefully, if executed well enough, the uncomfortable feeling that continued to resonate about the small bedroom would soon fade. Though, the previous events that had transpired would not disappear from memory so quickly, the lion boy thought with dread. Gosh, it had not been long ago at all that Regi had been blatantly flirting with the other boy, Storm, the ginger-haired Eraser. The same male whom the lion boy was still having unprecedented, oddly-mixed feelings about. And what was on Storm's mind? Bringing up that question would only reveal the fact that Regi was confused, curious - and worst of all, it would reveal that the lion boy had some sort of emotional connection to the prior intimacy that could very well have meant nothing at all.
Whatever it was that was going on between the two teens, it would have to be analyzed once the lion boy could find time to himself, to think... Because, as it turned out, there were other things that should be occupying his mind right now. Durr. Jinx. Storm was waiting for the lion boy to accompany him to the flock's room! And in that timespan - a minute or two? - Regi had just been standing there with a hand on the bed, zoned out with a spacey stare in Storm's direction. Blinking rapidly to snap back into reality, Regi shook his head a couple times and completely stood up now. "S-sorry. I was thinking," he murmured, and hopefully Storm would choose to leave it at that. Immediately Regi tried to regain focus on the matter at hand - he'd basically invited himself to visit Jinx alongside the Eraser, and he'd hardly given any thought as to how this would go down. What would he say? What would Jinx say? What would Jinx do? Would the kitty-birdie welcome him, be willing to speak, or would she attack? Rip him to shreds, detach some limbs - yeah, that was definitely a possibility. Regi didn't want to give the impression that he was just trying to defend himself, or his actions, but it felt that this was his intention nonetheless. All that was left to do now was hope for the best. Tip-toeing toward Storm, Regi kept a grip on his tail which remained around his waist, continuing to fiddle with the tuft of fur relentlessly - a nervous habit that had no doubt been adopted from the kitty-birdie. His peridot eyes darted to-and-fro around the small bedroom, almost unable to maintain a simple eye contact with the Eraser. Once eye contact could be established, Regi inhaled, exhaled... "All right. I'm ready." That was a lie.
Renovation in progress. Hard hats must be worn at all times.

luckily Caspian had prepared himself for a hostile encounter, so the sudden claws pricking his neck wasn't as much of a surprise as it could have. his head tilted back as the thorn-sharp weapons dug into his skin, dots of blood forming where the kitty girl had grabbed him. his ecstatic blue hues widened as her equally bright gaze bore into his, holding the gut-churning depth that only the eyes of someone who'd been through hell could possess. this teenager had been fighting most of her life, Casp realized with a mental face palm, she had a reason to immediately leap on anyone who was a threat to her family. the leopard boy blinked, taking in the angry female that was now spitting like an angry cat. she had white hair that nicely framed her face, as stated before, and was undeniably pretty without trying. she'd look better with a nice smile on her lips rather than a brutal snarl. despite her rather alpha-like approach, an attempt to look deadlier than him, he noted the weightlessness of her words and the way she moved a shaking hand to cover her stomach as patches of red blood bloomed on her shirt. Caspian furrowed his brows in an almost concerned way, slowly squinting at the avian hybrid, as if he was trying to read her mind. "I'm here, as said a few moments ago, to fix your door. not eat your babies. and you, obviously, are not in any shape to be killing people." A brunette girl leaped between him and the crazed kitty, and Caspian allowed himself to exhale the strained air in his lungs. he forced a bitter sweet smile and gave a quick little fake bow to the other teen, who didn't look very glad to see him, either. "hello, Ms. Birdy. and Ms. Kitty. I'm Caspian." knowing he was outnumbered, he still managed to chirp the words happily.

Storm
Storm watched on as Regi seemed to... Slip? On the floor? Really? But he seemed to propped himself up on the bed as if to keep balance or something. He didn't look all there at that moment, like he was going to pass out or something. Storm gave him a strange look and was about to ask if he was okay when Regi decided to speak up. He seemed to be nervousnes, which, Storm couldn't blame him. He was about to face Jinx again... Aaaaand Storm had just given him a peck on the cheek... 'oops...' A slight hue of pink was making it's way onto Storm's face, and he quickly cursed himself for it. He sure hoped that Regi wouldn't give it too much thought, and just shove it aside as nothing. Boy was he hoping! 'Ready? Awesome!' Storm returned the eye contact to Regi, then quickly broke it to turn and open up the door. "Let's go." He stepped out only to see a tail swishing back and forth from the flock's room. He fixed his vision on it as he didn't recognize it. "Hold on Reg..." He whispered, and held up and hand behind him as a signal for Regi to stay in his place. Who was the intruder? And what was he/she/it up to in the flocks room? He stepped out to get a closer look, but closed the door to Regi's room almost all the way. He kept himself ready to slam Regi's door shut to protect the lion boy if needed. He took a few more steps till he could see that the tail was connected to a boy. 'Another experiment, of course. But what is he up to here?' He peeked in a little further to see Athena and Jinx in defensive stances in front of the intruder, and the introuder with a cocky look on his face. 'What the...?' His lips read, but not voice escaped him as he stayed silent.

She glared at the boy apathetically as she slowly began to tighten her grasp on the intruder's neck, the sudden constriction allowing for the flow of more blood. A hint of a smile curved the corners of her mouth and she began to feel like a sociopath, holding no remorse for her actions and enjoying the pain of others. Especially when they deserved it. Stupid, stupid boy. Someone had set him up for this, of that there was no doubt. Or maybe his higher ups thought him to able able to combat her, hence their reasoning behind sending in another kitty for her to play with. Either way the leopard boy had been sent into the equivalent of a war zone, far beyond enemy lines, to face a threat so volatile that almost anything could set her off. It was safe to say the girl was suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, the affliction making her all the more likely to respond negatively to anyone and anything perceived as a threat, and at this point, if you didn't have wings, you were a threat. Just for good measure she snuck a glance over the boy's shoulder to check for any manner of feathery or wing-like apparatus, only to find that there was nothing. Slowly her ears began to lower, the furred appendages folding outwards, down, and back to lay flat amongst a mass of white tresses that were long overdue for a trim. "Whether or not I am capable of killing you remains to be seen you insufferable whelp. Now I sugge-" Her sentence ended abruptly when she was pushed behind a pair of familiarly speckled chocolate brown wings that offered an air of comfort that brought the spooked kitty back to reality. Something like a startled mewl passed from between her lips, and she took another look at her red stained shirt and went scrambling for bandages to keep the situation from worsening. One poorly done job of bandaging a truly superficial wound that stung like a papercut and a change of shirts later, she was back to a state of relative normalcy and putting on display a more customarily seen version of herself.
By now her dilated pupils had reverted back to their normal size and she looked more curious - maybe mildly annoyed - than anything else whilst on all fours on the white tiled floor, peeking at the boy she'd been hellbent on killing from under Athena's wings. Looking far more innocent than what should have been remotely possible after her momentary loss of control, Jinx tilted her head to the right as if trying to determine how much of a danger the boy could be and whether or not he would let her count the spots on his tail. "I am Jinx," she stated to gently correct the boy's use of names that did not belong to either of the room's avian occupants. "She," the kitty girl gave a slight jerk of her head to indicate the girl standing between them, "is Athena." Never one to be left out, a tiny bundle of fur scampered over to Jinx, using her lithe body as a playscape of sorts until it sat atop her head, blending in perfectly with her hair save for the iridescent amber orbs that blinked up at the world almost haughtily. "And this is Alpha." She gave a wiggle of obsidian furred ears to draw more attention to the cheeky little fluff ball on her head, putting them down the second the kitten decided they were toys and not hypersensitive, well, ears! The picture they all painted was odd, quirky, and undeniably cute in nature despite how easily cute could become something else entirely. Something dark, blood riddled, violent. Poor Caspian probably thought Jinx was bonkers with the way she'd gone from enraged to passively curious in the span of just a few seconds. But the girl couldn't help that and hopefully he would overlook her idiosyncrasies in the mean time. Vaguely she remembered a mention of a "friend" that would come to visit, and maybe help to lessen the growing list of psychological issues arising in the kitty girl, however she didn't think it was this Caspian fellow that Dr. Amy had been talking about. He was only there to fix a door after all. A door that was not necessarily broken.
