This plus what Lillian said reminds me of the show "Gargoyles." Also Doctor Who. Can't wait to see what comes of it!

Yeah, before they looked like stone to me, but now they look either scaly or scales made of stone, and combined with what the artist said gargoyles would make sense, especially since gargoyles are guardians.


It looks like as it grew the "scales" got bigger.

It kinda looks like a dark floral print to me

I'm gonna go out on a limb here though and guess that they ARE going to be stone statues though. I dunno what gives me that idea. Maybe the hints? ^_^

As for the robo kitties. I'll be waiting till I get paid Friday to pick up a couple of sets. One for my collection. And a few for trading I guess.
