Reagan may be used to trekking long distances, but the man in the trench coat seems to enjoy it. Ordinarily, following one person over five miles would eventually bore the hunter, but it's the way he stared at the blood on his clothes and looking around as if hearing something no one else could is what keeps Reagan pushing on. An angel with its grace is one thing, but she knows she may be able to get answers out of a powerless one facing an angel blade. Out of everything she has in her small arsenal, Reagan keeps it well-protected and well-hidden. She pauses behind the trees as another person approaches the man, watching them curiously. If either is an angel, Reagan might be able to take another step towards figuring out what in god's name is going on. Thousands of angels fell that night. Something extremely powerful must've knocked them out of heaven. Reagan pulls the dully-shining blade out of the inside pocket of her jacket and keeps it in her hand. While the angels are probably graceless, that doesn't mean they aren't still more powerful than she is.

The phone rang with no answer except for a blunt voice-message recorder that beeped and led to a silent pause. Castiel hung up the phone and turned around to the sound of someones voice,"Are you okay?" He dabbled his cheek, still slightly bleeding- but only a minor cut and said gruffly, "I am fine," He stepped over to the curb and sat down with a huff. Being an angel, he never really understood the feelings of hunger, fatigue, and a strange fondness for the woman. He pushed the feelings aside momentarily and looked to the girl, puzzled and said, "Unfortunately I am just... a bit out of place." He looked up at the overcast sky, dreary and almost mourning the loss of its stars. He looked down at his palms, still slightly grazed with cuts that were just enough to bear droplets of blood- all of which were dried. The world seemed strangely foreign, he didn't seem to feel the same power he once wielded, as if he was in a dream state- almost floating but not in control. He had a splitting headache, still hearing his brothers and sisters even without his grace. The averagely small cuts and bruises would be nothing but a pinch with his angelic gusto, and easily healed with in minutes, but these cuts were still quite gruesome from the night before, still sizzling with dull pain. He looked to the girl and asked, "What is your name?" He tilted his head in intrigue, almost trying to further observe her, there was definitely something about her that made me not at ease, though he gave his slight trust in her presence for the time being.

Nuriel ⇢ Angel ⇢ Post One

Postby Maxxika » Tue Jun 03, 2014 2:47 pm

      nuriel male angel-seraph with reagan

Those meteors, all of those meteors that the humans were screaming and yelling about. Excitement, confusion, some fear at the reality that they were actually making it to earth. But all of those meteors came with piercing screams and cries from those he so deeply loved. Each ball of fire the humans pointed to was a brother, falling hopelessly, wings burning to shreds, screaming in pain and fear. Nuriel couldn't take it, didn't want to hear it, didn't want to see it. But he couldn't shut it off no matter how hard he tried. It was not only the pain of seeing it all occur, but the guilt that ate at him for running away. He had left, he had hidden away from the troubles and hoped for their passing, and yet now looking at the sky it was all too clear that there was no escaping. And there was no easy end to the struggles they had faced. Now, there wasn't even home to be fighting over. And no home to be running away from, either. Maybe he could have done something, but the reality was hard enough without the 'what ifs' that could come to mind.

Nuriel watched the sky with intent sadness through the night. Powerless to do anything but look on. Then there was one name that came across, Castiel, that caught his attention. The angel didn't know what to do, didn't know how to help his family. But what he did know was that hiding and pretending it didn't happen would not be the answer. As soon as he had a name, one that the fallen angels mentioned consistently as fault, he wanted to find him. He left his vessel's home, where he had been staying in his attempt to live his human life, in search of that angel.

It seemed as the seraph came to the place he tracked Castiel to, that he had not been the only one with interest in him. The redheaded human, sneaking between the trees and watching the man in the trench coat and another woman. For a moment he stood in silence behind the hiding hunter, curious to the whole situation. He didn't intend to startle, or interrupt anyone just yet. With his abilities in tact, he felt confident that he could avoid being noticed by at least the humans. Unnecessary attention would only slow matters and make them more difficult. He would have left, and planned to follow Castiel for some time without making himself known, until he caught a glimpse of the angel blade in the human female's hand. A frown crossed the angel's face, and he wasn't about to let someone walk up to the one he wanted with such a weapon. Nuriel stared at Reagan intently before actually speaking up.

"What do you intend to do with that?" Nuriel asked, with more of an authoritative demanding for an answer than a simple question. He stayed where he was, not daring to stand close enough for the female to turn around and get him with it, but close enough that he didn't need to speak loud enough to alert the two across the way that anyone was there.

Reagan glances over her shoulder as she is spoken to. A man, a commander, perhaps, staring her down like a misbehaving child. The red-headed hunter's brow furrows and she turns and straightens up to face him. "The angels fell. They're desperate and I have a knife." Reagan takes a moment to look her opponent up and down. Big, strong, and most likely not human. Fantastic. The redhead relaxes her arm, letting the angel blade dangle in a relaxed manner at her side. Even if this man isn't an angel, a knife is a knife. "You gonna attack me, sir? Because that's not gonna end well for either of us," she says, raising one eyebrow as she mirrors his snappish tone. The hunter idly adjusts her backpack, letting her fingers curl tighter around the smooth hilt of the blade. It doesn't take much to put her on the defensive. Reagan silently calculates the best route of escape if necessary, but yet this strange man doesn't seem like the sort to attack.

Nuriel ⇢ Angel ⇢ Post Two

Postby Maxxika » Tue Jun 03, 2014 3:45 pm

      nuriel male angel-seraph with reagan

Nuriel watched her with some curiosity, particularly on the fact that she seemed to know something about angels. So she hadn't just picked up the blade somewhere, she knew something, which made the situation a bit more difficult. The angel gave a slight nod. She knew, so he'd have to speak carefully. "Angels falling. Seems... unfortunate does it not?" He looked her over as he spoke, watching for any sign she might actually do something. He was capable but not eager for a fight. Especially with a human in possession of the one thing that could surely kill him. She seemed to be examining him just as much, and though she had turned and faced him quite calmly, he could tell he had startled her. He did not seem particularly amused by her response though, shaking his head.

"I could attack you, but it would not end well for you." Nuriel admitted quite informatively and his tone not quite as threatening. "It would not seem wise to warn someone before attacking them though. I did not come to fight you, but you are following a brother of mine with that blade. Are you going to attack us? That would end horribly for yourself." The angel returned her conclusion at her, head tilted just slightly. He had no intention of harming her, not even from the beginning, unless she tried something herself. His tone remained strong, and just as demanding, but he didn't make any move. She at least appeared to be ready to defend herself rather than attack, and as Nuriel's intention was just to defend himself he wasn't entirely worried.

"Defense. I don't plan on attacking that man any more than I plan on attacking you." A move like assaulting an angel, grace or not, is most likely certain death or serious injury. "Oh, I don't doubt you'd attack me. But let's remember here, I've got the blade. You are more vulnerable than I to it, am I correct?" Reagan isn't entirely certain that the man is an angel, but the way he referred to the angels as “us” seems like an obvious hint. She doesn't figure he has his grace still, but yet his vessel doesn't seem to be deteriorating. He obviously took the time to find a strong one. If the angels fell not twelve hours ago, not many would have been able to find a suitable vessel. Could he have avoided the fall? Impossible, unless he had been on earth prior to it. The thought strikes Reagan after a moment of silent consideration. It seems like a probable explanation, though with all of the insanity caused by the brothers Winchester nothing seems too certain any more. Even the angels in heaven, the ones everyone thought to be holy and fair, warred and were cast down to the earth. Reagan doesn't know what to think or who to believe, but perhaps this mysterious angel might be able to help.

Nuriel ⇢ Angel ⇢ Post Three

      nuriel male angel-seraph with reagan

It was something, that his reading of her seemed to be right, that she was only planning to defend herself. He gave a slight nod to her at that. "Then I believe we will not have a problem here." He assured her. Nuriel was less concerned with knowing she wouldn't attack unless he did. Not that he could really tell if she were lying about it, but he had a general trust in what people said. He believed them. He gave a curious look and a shrug to her. "Oh, I have one too. It could kill me. And it would kill humans just as well. But I could do a whole lot more to you possibly faster. You have lost the potential of surprise. Since that is not something I want to do, I would rather peaceful talking here." He told her, and seemed very determined of that fact. He looked her over once more, but glanced toward Castiel and the female for a moment.

"What interest do you have in my brother over there? What concern is it of a human such as yourself?" Nuriel asked with a mix of confusion and determination to find answers. If even humans knew about Castiel, and all of the angels knew about him, it seemed he was either in grave trouble or extremely well liked. The seraph could only assume he wasn't too popular, given his current state being graceless.

Reagan twists to look over at the other angel. "Curiosity. I'd like to know why all of you fell, though I'm definitely not the only one wondering that," she says with a shrug. Reagan carefully tucks the blade back into her jacket. Clearly using it isn't an option right now and there's no sense in swinging it around pointlessly for the fun of it. Besides the fact having the weapon put out of sight might set the angel facing her more at ease. "And you're one of them? The fallen ones? A name might be helpful, actually. I've heard of the archangels, Castiel, and a few of the more famous ones, but that's about as many as I'd be able to call by name." Reagan looks at the man with a calm expression, her voice even and smooth. After spending most of her life on a hunt, an angel like this one doesn't strike too much fear into her heart. At the same time, Reagan doesn't let her guard down, and crosses her arms over her chest in a more defensive position. "You all seem to be in the same boat here. Vessels, grace, all that. Wings? You still got ’em? Maybe you're one of the lucky ones. For all I know I'm talking to Lucifer himself. Gadreel, the guardian of Eden? Metatron, the scribe? Ezekiel? Uriel?" Reagan cuts herself off there. Not many more names come to mind, but she still maintains the air of knowing more than she does.

Nuriel ⇢ Angel ⇢ Post Four

Postby Maxxika » Tue Jun 03, 2014 4:56 pm

      nuriel male angel-seraph with reagan

"Curiosity? Well, it seems we have followed him for the same reason. I have heard his name mentioned by many others. I believed he would know who and what did this." Nuriel said, feeling better about talking to her, while also watching Castiel. He glanced as she moved the blade, but she was putting it away at least. Still he stood rigid, upright, a very proper stance. He hadn't been prepared to introduce himself, or even thought of it. His name wasn't important. Not in his own mind anyways. He glanced to her arms crossed stance and nodded slightly. "I am an angel, but I have not truly fallen. I was here on earth already. Unlike many of my brothers, my wings are not injured, and I do not need Heaven to use my abilities.." He started. The seraph wasn't concerned with letting her know that, it would only make him more of a threat to her than less. It would have been different had he actually fallen. "Not all of my brothers have lost their grace in the fall. I surely still have mine. Castiel over there seems to have lost it though." Nuriel commented, his gaze turning back to his fellow angel.

He listened to her list of well known angels, shaking his head at each name. He didn't expect her to know his, he purposefully stayed out of the spotlight in any issue. He shrugged. "I would not expect you to know my name. I have kept myself distant for some time. My name is Nuriel, I am a commander, a Seraph, but I am not nearly as recognized or involved as any of those you listed. I used to be a strong commander, respect. But things fell apart in our home. Before all of this." He admitted to her, with a hint of sadness and regret over something. Not a lot, as he wasn't ever entirely emotional to start with. But enough to be noticed.

Reagan nods placidly as he claims to have come on the same motives as she. She chooses not to react to the fact that the angel in the trench coat is apparently Castiel and instead listens as he continues to speak. His account of his grace only confirms her original theory that he had come to earth before the fall. Reagan is uncertain whether or not it is advantageous. As he mentions Castiel's lost grace, she nods again, but says nothing. Reagan begins to cautiously relax a bit. Whoever this is, he doesn't seem too bent on revenge or anything that potentially end up with her dead. She listens as he finally speaks his name and while there is a slight disappointment he's not one of the legendary ones there is a sense of relief that outweighs the hope. "Well, then. Nice to meet you, Nuriel," Reagan says with the beginnings of a smile. The expression quickly fades to one of solemnity as his tone changes to sadness and a slight bitterness that can only be regret or anger. The hunter's gaze drops to her feet like a child's for a moment before she looks back up at Nuriel. For the first time in a long time, Reagan is at a loss for words. How does one comfort a grieving angel?
