All these great and beautiful caninies working in different areas to help save people's lives. German Shepherds as the great police force's k-9 squad. Beagles, Bloodhounds, Golden Retrievers, and other species as the k-9 bomb and drug finding dogs. Saint Bernards as the main Search and Rescue dogs, Dalmations as the main firehouse dogs and the mascots of the fire stations around the globe. They were and still aare well known and most associated with each area. Some turn out to be service, military, and nursing dogs as well. Some can be used as loyal companions and friends. Some help us get through the good times and bad, but they all remain our most beloved f r i e n d s. So let me ask you this... what if your p a r t n e r was.... injured... severely...?? And that's were the story begins.
What if your partner.... what if you thought your partner was gone? Dead? Because of one stupid mistake. One mistake that could have possible killed your best friend. you would have never understood the true meaning of friendship until that very day. the one day that was going to haut you for many years to come. you had awaken to your alarm going off, your morning alarm at 6:30 am. You groaned as your buddy licked your face eagerly, making you wake up slowly. Sitting up, you looked around your bedroom, before looking at your clock. Grabbing it, you shut it off and got ready for work. Getting there, as soon as you walked through the doors the alarms went off. Your partner was barking loudly, alsmot excited for the alarm to go off on your first day back to work. Grabbing your gear, you through it on and headed for the main entrance. Running out, you head for the scene of the incident.
You see a large blazing fire, and what looked like to be a mushroom cloud overhead. Jumping out of your vehicle, you race for the doors. Breaking down the doors, your dog runs inside, barking like a mad dog. Running inside after them, you see that the foundation and everything around it was looking about ready to collapse. Looking around and coughing madly you squint your eyes and looking around at the ember and flame-filled building. You were thrown back as Part of the building exploded and a forcefull cloud of debris and other materials knocked you back. Getting up shakily, you run out as you hear that the building was going to collapse any moment. You barely make it out, but scream as the building went down, dog and important partner still inside, and probably crushed. You tear up and cry out as they searched through the rubble for any sighs of surviors. You looked at a comrad as they told you the grim News. You jerk your head to the side, listening intently for a moment before getting up and running towards the rubble.
Digging and throwing debris, glass, and other material to one side, you dig up your dog. Barely alive, but breathing. Calling the vet, you run to the ambulance and jump inside, relaxing just abit when you headed towards the vet's office. Getting there in less then 10 minuets, you wait for the doctor to come out of the surgical/ operating room. Once he comes out, he tells you it'll be a few days before your buddy has fully recovered. Sighing in relief, you get up and follow the vet to see your friend. Sitting beside them, you pet their ear and spend as much time as you can with them. Getting up after awile you walk out of the vet's feeling a littlee skiddish as to leving your friend there overnight. Sighing, you return afew days later, to pick them up, and take them home. Later that night, you come upstairs to find your ''buddy'' in a jumbled mess under the covers of your bed.
Pulling them off, you scream as you see not a canine's body, but a humans body in their place. Your friend opened their eyes before speaking. ''Don't say anything. I died my best, even if it was my last rescue.''
