we are the wanderers. we have nowhere to go. nothing to hold onto; despite us longing to. but don't feel sorry for us - you never did before, when we were your best friends. your companions. there to share every laugh and tear with you. to help pick you up when you fell. to give you courage to start again...

we are the wanderers. stuck in time; never going forward nor back. people come to us with pole catchers and boxes, but we're too smart. living on the streets has its advantages. we know every road and alley; the best places for scraps and a good porch to sleep on when the twinkling lights start to show. we know the best ways of escaping off of the face of the earth, just to appear a couple of days later.

we are the wanderers. some say we are pests. unwanted. alone. but we are far from alone. how can one be alone, when we have others for company? no, we are never alone. we keep each other company. show one another our way of survival. we fall in love, have pups, and teach them the way of the world.

we are the wanderers. walking down the road of life. to those who pity us, don't waste your tears. you didn't before. to those who stick your noses up at us, try this life. then you'll understand. to those who hate us - keep going, we won't change. we can't change.

you are a stray on the streets. you were abandoned, you ran away, or you were even born on the streets. every story is different. we have to work hard to get food - scavenging or begging. catchers will be after us - snatching us and taking us to the grey building outside of the city. not many dogs are seen again once they are taken there. humans are bad. full stop. don't go near them, unless they call you. you never know what they are up to. you must forget who you once were is you were abandoned or you ran away - you cannot keep the same thoughts and instincts from your last life. you can't afford to lose precious space and time on it. because this is a contest. only the bravest and smartest of us will survive.

rules. i don't like having them, but they are necessary at points.

1. all of Tess' roleplaying rules apply. don't break them. full stop.
2. respect. c'mon guys, everyone knows the 'treat others like you'd like to be treated' phrase. put yourself in the persons shoes.
3. fade when dying or mating. or continue it in messaging. but please, kid friendly!
4. violence is to be kept at a minimum. i understand that strays will be violent when fighting over food etc. but please, no coming out of a fight and going straight into another one.
5. language. please star out swearing, or don't use it!
6. writing. i know that this isn't semi-lit, so i'm not going to pester for long detailed posts. but please, at least 4 lines? writers block is understandable, but not all of the time please!
7. no suicide. at all.
8. have fun!

abusing rules gets strikes. if you get 3 strikes, then i will suspend you from the roleplay for a day.
