"Let's hear it!" Harper hadn't meant to sound so enthused, "Y'know... Whatever 'it' is..." She rubbed the back of her neck nervously, "Because... Y'know... For all we know you could have a completely different music taste than I guessed so I mean..." She trailed off, feeling increasingly awkward, "Okay I'll shush now." She rushed out the last phrase, her eyes fixed on her feet.

"I was pleasantly surprised," Roderich supplied, rolling his eyes in amusement at the uttered 'excuse me', as Arthur always had stuck to his 'gentlemen' reputation. "Alright, I'll play something from memory. No need to worry, Harper. I'll get out my violin." The violinist assembled the instrument from it's sturdy leather case, setting his chin upon the chinrest and along the tailpiece, and holding it gently by the neck of the instrument. "This piece is called Chaconne, by Bach. I play it on my piano, but it's more known for its violin version." Roderich explained timely, tapping his foot as he held the bow precisely over the violin. Swiftly he moved the bow back and forth, the melody sliding through the strings. His face seemed concentrated, eyes set ahead and closing every now and then. Velvety tones strung through the speedy movement of Roderich's bow, the sad and melodic beats entering the dorm' room's air.

Arthur scowled at the Austrian before the other teen began to play. He drummed his fingers on the arm of the couch as he listened. He wouldn't tell the violet eyed nation but he did enjoy the song. Though it's not something he would normally listen to. The melody was relaxing him and making him drowsy. In fact for a moment he struggled to keep his eyes open and head up.

Harper kept her gaze locked on her feet, while listening to the song. She felt horrible. That is, she wasn't used to feeling so small next to someone. And she had never messed up her words so badly--because she never really talked except when absolutely needed. She wanted to apologise, or run away... Whichever came first. But she just say there, listening. She noted that he was a fantastic violinist, noticed how focused he was on the music. But Harper would hold her tongue this time, so she wouldn't mess up her words again.

The musician cut off abruptly, packing away his violin with careful hands, placing his bow to rest beside the instrument. "Bach was a wonderful composer, I love his writings." Roderich sighed contentedly, setting his case down onto the table and taking another sip from his tea. "I feel like we all are different with our music styling, but that is what makes this chance to practice with one another even better. I am very pleased to find you played in front of us, Harper. Small steps in playing in front of other people are best, and Arthur you were splendid." Roderich adjusted his glasses again, peering to the quiet student and the drowsy brit.

Arthur's head snapped up, feeling slightly annoyed as the music came to a halt. "Tell me something, how long did it take you to learn to play like that?" He asked with mild curiosity.

Harper nodded, still hiding. She shrugged a little, "Well, I think I should, uh, go... Art looks like he's gonna fall asleep any minute now." She smiled a little, standing to go. She spun around, trying to locate all her belongings, "Song book... Where did I put that thing..." Harper couldn't help chewing on her lip ring as she looked around, hoping to find it sooner than later.

"I do not! I will have you know I'm very much wide awake!" He protested quickly, folding his arms with a scowl. He stood up, unfolding his arms and stretching before running a hand through his blonde head. He couldn't help but notice his sister looking out for something. "Problem?"
