I meant a deadline to get back with them and say whether they would be open or not in time for the list being made. Meaning, they would still be able to open, they just wouldn't be listed as open until they got back with the list maintainer. I didn't mean it come across that way, because that would be way too limiting.
And locking them *would* help, thanks! If that happened it probably wouldn't need the list.

I understand about the freedom thing, I hadn't thought of them as being kind of side projects compared to the normal thread. ^^
