"I'm sure he would have, and not all horses are as nice as you think they are." Pride nickered, watching his two daughters carefully as he spoke. "I don't, but there are stallions who will kill a filly a colt just because it is not theirs. It's doesn't happen often, but it does, and you could get hurt if your do not do what you are told." The mustang told them. Pride wasn't a stallion who would kill a foal just because it wasn't his, it wasn't common but some stallions did do that, though Pride would possibly kill a foal if he sensed it had a disability and wanted to keep the foal from away from a slow death.

Winter's Mystery:
Mystery blinked, shock and terror showing in her wide eyes. "He would have killed us for trying to save Breeze?" She whispered, trembling a little. She sucked in a breath. "What if he kills Breeze because she isn't his foal? We have to save her! He could be hurting her right now!" Mystery was panicking as she pictured the huge stallion biting and kicking Breeze.

"No that's not it...I had wanted to kill her she would already be dead an you wouldn't have seen her when you ran over there." Pride let out a sigh, it was tough explaining things to his daughters. "He wouldn't have killed you, but he could have hurt you. I just don't want you to get hurt, there are reasons you have to stay in the herd. A cougar could get to you if you stray too far from the herd and other predators as well. I just want you to be safe." He added "I want to have Breeze and Whisper back as much as you do but we just can't do that right now." Winter would be here soon, he wanted to spend his time grazing and saving his energy. If they were lucky, perhaps Pride could get them back in the spring.

Windy night grazes. Every now and then glancing over at her foal playing with breeze, and the herd. She perked her head up looking at all of frost's mares, she wanted a friend, a mare she could talk to. Right now she practically just knew her foal frost. She walked to the outskirts of the herd to graze. She didn't know anyone so why be in the middle of the herd. Occuasionally she would look back at her foal, Electric Wind, and watch her play with the younger filly, Breeze.

Electric Wind Slowed at the sudden turn, which helped Breeze gain some distance. She quickly snapped out of it and laughed. She was a little ways behind Breeze, but was gaining on her once more. She neighed playfully, and didn't notice they were getting farther from the herd.

gold saw sun wasn't going to calm down anytime soon. they needed to get away from the forest, and find a new one, further away from the mountains. anywhere to rid the scent of the dreaded wolf. the dappled palomino gently pressed his muzzle into sun's flank, pushing against it. as a mare it was sun's job to lead them places. gold knew that they needed to get away, and he only hoped that sun would lead them to a water source where he could properly clean his wounds and rid himself of the wolf scent.

spirit lifted his head to see a mare running alone, her tail high in the air. the buckskin nosed winter, telling her to wait there while he went to investigate. the stallion flew into a canter, ears pricked as he came to her side. with a soft, playful whinny, spirit nosed the mare as an offering to be a part of his herd.

ricochet dropped her head and sighed, allowing the stallion to groom her. she gently lipped at his legs, rubbing her itchy head on them as he ran his muzzle across her sides. with a flick of her tail, ric lifted her head and rested it on frost's broad back, closing her eyes. she had to admit, she was tired, and she would need the energy.

cloud closed her eyes in content as the stallion continued to groom her, making her coat feel clean and shiny. she moved into a slow trot as her new stallion indicated for her to join the herd, with a nip on her flank. the dapple grey pricked her ears at the other mares in the herd, feeling a high whinny bubble at her maw. she let it out, calling a friendly call to her new herd mates.

arrow stood alone in a small valley, where the autumn winds barely reached her. she twitched her muscles, ears pricked as she listened for the call of a stallion. she was in search of a herd, even with no heat scent; the mare knew that winter was upon her, and the last thing she wanted was to be alone during it. the skewbald lifted her head high into the air, closing her eyes as she felt a neigh erupt in her chest, spilling out from her muzzle and into the valley.
